While I love manually handling the Rev matching, I've been thinking about maybe grabbing an Auto Blip device for my 350.

Any pros and cons? I don't want to spend a ton of money if it's not night and day for track and cross country driving.

Pros: no mistakes, easy consistent downshifting into a corner w/o fear of messing up the braking.

Cons: none IMO
I agree 100%, I installed Xineering blip and love it.

sold my 2018 GT350 :(
Love the rev match under hard braking. But only use on track. Not needed in daily driving or even spirited driving. I love it on the track. But never feel a need to use it for daily driving or on mountain roads.

I went through the same thing this spring. I ended up getting the auto-blip and haven’t looked back. It’s amazing on track, and completely unnecessary on the street (I leave mine off all the time except when on track.)

The only con someone can possibly offer is that you aren’t getting better at heel-toe. If you aren’t interested in perfecting that skill, and want consistent rev matched downshifts, get the autoblip (or a competitor) and don’t look back.

My heel toe is pretty solid but like anything, it could always use work.

I was just thinking in passing it would be cool/convenient for DD and the Track. I might pick one up down the line but I'm content for now.

I had it my C7 Corvette and while it's wonderful, it's just one more thing that makes me more and more disconnected from the driving experience. I'm old school and don't like all the modern doodads on today's cars. Yes they make things safer in many ways but they also make one lazier and less alert to what's going on around them because you become complacent and believe the car is going to save you somehow. Since this isn't safety related necessarily I can sorta get behind it because it's one thing less to think about when trying hard on the race track. I did turn mine off on the Vette however.

Anyone have thoughts about the various ones and which may perform better?

Here are a couple I found:

https://www.auto-blip.com/product/auto-blip/

http://www.xineering.com/dbw.html
the autoblip will only blip if you press the brake pedal first, then clutch. If you go clutch first, you won’t get a blip.

Im not particularly brand loyal, but I do like the fact the autoblip unit has a built in on/off switch on the unit. The autoblip box stays in the retractable sunglass holder, and there’s no need for additional switches, wires, or software (which I like.)

I got lucky and bought my autoblip used for $175, so I didn’t feel the need to overly research the different units since I was happy to use a time-tested device for half the price.
