Have you had any luck with Cotus yet?
I have not looked yet.I think it is too early.Probably better to look about scheduled production date week on 24th Aug. I am heading to Canada on 21st Aug,so when I return in Oct hopefully I wont have long to wait.I will have a test drive of a GT in Canada, looking forward to that.

Just re-read this post. the VIN must be assigned by the car builder ie Ford - not a country's authority.
If you don't have a VIN yet then it's because they are providing it or don't know how to get it - or there isn't one in the system yet.
Yes you're right I got misled by the dealer again.
I am now expecting my vin number to be available in the next 10 days or so with a sept build date, being shipped out of Baltimore through the Panama canal, due here late Nov or early dec and calling here 1st with all the OZ cars on board.

I think our cars are on railcars across USA to Portland/Oregon then shipped to Asia/Australia/NZ. There has been previous posts with cars in Portland. Portland to Sydney approx 3 weeks. ( LA to SYD = 3 weeks )

yes I know and there have been videos of them being loaded at Portland for export to Asia.
However my contact here at Ford NZ says they are coming out of Baltimore like the UK vehicles, even though it seems illogical from a shipping perspective

I received confirmation from Ford today that my car (once built) will be sent to the port in Baltimore in early October for shipping to Australia.

I'm guessing it will still take around 3 weeks to get to Australia and another week to get to the dealer.

These are the same details as I get too.
I also found out that cars ordered by dealers are "stock orders" rather than "retail orders" and stock orders are not entered into Cotus.

This means that you wont see anything online until 1 week out from the build date. At that time - you will be able to see the window sticker - which has the blend date on it (the actual date the build starts) - along with all the other information & options.

Any of you guys that already have vins, progressed any further with build dates etc?

This is just another step forward to getting a great car. I would think within the next 1-2 weeks you will be allocated a build slot or build week.

Just check back with the dealer or you can send Deysha from FordService a PM and she may be able to check the progress.

She does a great service to us and helps soothe our nerves by providing updates on progress.

Congrats on your order

Deysha

Got my VIN number today and I'm a convertible!:headbang:

Does anyone know what the codes mean - what is NON SVP mean?

My segmentation date is 29/9 with an ETA of 5/12.:ford:

I'm getting excited! (even if I don't really understand what the dates mean)

Congrats OzStangFan. Thats the first Convertible confirmation I have heard of. Can I ask when did you order yours ? Looks like build date of 29/9 and then ETA in Australia of 5/12. Lonely wait for us Convertible buyers around here...

Thanks - it feels like I've been waiting for ages for any news at all (my dealer is pretty good but really had nothing to share).

I placed my order in early Dec 2014 - so wait it has been ages

At least now it would appear real :ford:
