I had a similar issue with mine, ended u drilling a couple of holes into the stock snorkel and steeda CAI and used heavy duty zip-ties to secure the two together, instead of the of using the useless nubs that came on the airbox.
I had the same sound last year, its coming from a loose baffle inside the center resonator, confirmed by my mechanic.
Odd Noise
Eventually its stop and didn't do it again, no idea if it got blown out of the exhaust or eventually melted away, it stopped after an 8hr drive down the coast and...
It is louder but not overly so, the exhaust note is bit deeper and sound pretty good under throttle. But I'm happy with the end result.
I only really did this as fill in until I can afford to get a full exhaust and tune.
Wasn't today, but yesterday i fitted a CJ Pony Parts H Pipe that i picked up on friday.
Pretty happy with the sound and should do until i can afford a full exhaust.
I have the steeda intake which has a removable restrictor so it run on the stock tune.
Personal I don't think it has added any additional power in stock form without a tune, but the intake noise is awesome. Just make sure you disconnect the sound tube as it becomes very boomy in the cabin.
I took my stang back to Sydney Dragway last night, happy to report that the bmr cb005 cured alot of the wheelhop issues that I was having.
Managed a 13.09 which is slightly faster than the last time. So close to a high 12. Still not launching too hard to protect the glass axles, planing on...
I'd say the 17 is for 2017 racing season.
I know GT4 cars are eligible for the Bathurst 24hr as tekno has a mclaren GT4 car for that event.
Also GT4 cars can race in the Australian GT Championship according to the CAMS website under a class called GT Sports.
This morning was fantastic, had a great time driving on roads I hadn't been on before and looking around the car museum was awesome. The turn was great as well seeing some familiar faces and new ones, thanks to Scott and Matt for organising the cruise.
I got my bmr cb005 kit and the rear steeda alignment inserts installed today .
To say I'm over the moon with the result is an understatement, the rear feels a lot more connected and after a couple of hard launches alot of the wheel hop issues seem to be gone.
The Ford racing axles are expensive, I'm looking at getting drive shaft shops 800hp axles, they are cheaper than the Ford ones and the reviews of them seem pretty positive.
Went to Sydney Dragway for the first time tonight with my mustang, best run for me was a 13.1 at 176kph. .
For a car that's bone stock and a driver that's never done it before, I'm over the moon.
