One prominent Sydney dealer said they would only take deposits when they have vehicle allocation but that said one of their siblings was taking money without any guarantees. Ford Australia say little or nothing.
Contacted Ford customer Service about the lack of any local news and Customer service complained theY never get told anything. All she could say that available between Q1 and Q2.

Ford have just announced the price details of the new XR8 which goes on sale 1 December 2014.

At $52490 for the XR8 with leather seats, a supercharged V8 with 335KW, R spec suspension, plus all the other stuff including Brembos, 19 inch rims (8.0 front and 9.0 rear) plus satnav and reverse camera along with the Sync system and dual climate control, I'm considering jumping on one. It's a hell of a deal and a lot of motor car.

Will that price put the Mustang in the not worth it category until Ford stop Production here?

See the original article and there is a video doing the rounds of a very nice blue one.

At the end of the day its still a Falcon with FG interior, people who either love Falcons or need more then a coup'e were never going to look at a Mustang, the same way people that love Mustangs were never going to look at a Falcon. Of course there are probably benchsitters that will sing either way depending on price.

Im hoping now that Ford will want to sell tons of these and price it just under the XR8 for the GT or at least close to it.

Well for one I was always getting a Mustang, but I used to drive an XR8 at work all the time and loved them. This XR8 is pretty much an FPV GT for about $20k less, to me it's a good buy that I might just get while waiting.

This new XR8 is one kick-ar$e deal - I seriously can't see how any Ford employee could say that Mustang GT with PP priced at anything above this XR8 price would be a good deal.

While i hope they price the GT competitively against the XR8, we do have to remember they price the mondeo titanium 2 grand more expensive then the xr 6 turbo.
