Each to their own but there would be no way in hell I'd be waiting and then taking delivery of the MY17 while MY18 has all these updates, especially the GT. Sucks if you really need the car though and can't wait till mid 2018. I was in the same boat in mid 2015 and ended up getting a cheaper car...
Hood vents - in for Oz
tri-bar DRL - in for Oz
Digital dash - in for Oz
Nice - and with those optional forged 19's and Recaro's is the car I want - in orange.
It does seem that these ridiculously long wait times will tumble this year - would expect being able to walk into a dealership and driving out with a car in 1 day by the end of 2017.
Semi confirmed, based on that MY2018 RHD mule video, that the bonnet vents are yet again missing...I was secretly hoping that these would be globally acceptable and that they would stay - oh well.
Does this mean the digital dash will be a standard equipment of the 2018 RHD/Oz cars?
This mule is clearly fitted with one, and I can't see that being an option to choose because it would simply create confusion and add additional times to build the cars - we will probably just get the burger...
I can already see the next huge thread appearing: "How to turn off and keep it turned off Autonomous Emergency Braking and Lane Keeping Aid". That rubbish would drive me nuts, but I guess would help people that drive while looking at their phones/navigations screens - head up peeps.
I actually saw a PS with the MY18 hood vents gone, and looked quite good. I don't think that is anything different when the current cars lost the scoops.
Regarding resale - with the new car it will go down, just the engine upgrades alone will ensure MY18 is the new bad boy on the block...but...
Thought it was epic from that first image, and now I think its mega epic after I saw those new HD images - it is an awesome looks upgrade, quad pipes are nice, plus the V8 motor upgrade. Interior is same same as the MY2017, so don't really care.
I believe they stop making the MY2017 cars in...
Don't HSVs have the active exhaust?
Quite in love with the MY2018 - love how they dropped the bonnet down and sharpened the look, made it really aggressive - loved the 15' look too but this is lot down my alley. Have to see what the dealer says now, next year delivery suits me just fine.
Oh dear, running in cars, that old chestnut again. Had 4 new vehicles so far, never babied any of them, one was actually run in at Phillip Island race track - never an issue, engine felt stronger then many other vehicles that never saw a redline until they were few months old. Just drive the...
55k is very reasonable considering we'll be getting performance pack as standard.
Would love to see what dealers will sell them as drive away, probably 65k initially for the keen as mustard buyers then hopefully dropping to 60k or even under with a bit of negotiation..
