So who feels ripped off????
Aussie Dark Horse will only have 349kw….NOT the 373kw as in the States…..AND you’re still paying $100k (without options) plus dealer markups = $$$$$$$!!!!
The S550’s are lookin very reasonable!!!

Looked at a few options. Went with QKFNGT
Some will read it as Quick F'ing GT
Some may think I'm swearing.
Of course I wouldn't do such a thing.
And I explain that FN is the model code. So It's a Quick FN GT

And I believe FNQKGT is still available.

I'm quoting a post I found elsewhere on this topic -

"DIN and SAE are two different standards for measuring horsepower. DIN stands for Deutsche Industrienorm, which is the German industry standard, while SAE stands for Society of Automotive Engineers, which is an American professional organization.

DIN horsepower ratings are calculated with standard intake, exhaust, and accessory systems
in place and are usually reported in metric horsepower (PS), whereas SAE gross horsepower ratings are calculated with no accessories attached and are usually reported in mechanical horsepower (bhp)

The DIN standard requires power to be measured with strict standards, making it more accurate than the SAE gross standard. DIN horsepower ratings are comparable to the modern SAE net rating system, although they are usually reported in metric horsepower (PS), rather than mechanical horsepower

One mechanical horsepower is about 745.7 watts, whereas one metric horsepower is about 735.5 watts; therefore, 1 PS equals 0.986 horsepower. "

"So using that formula 500hp x 0.986 = 493hp

Which explains at least 7 of the HP reduction for the Dark Horse"

It’s actually nothing to do with SAE or DIN….it’s to do with Australian standards and the emission requirements over here….granted you can change the headers back to the American style ones and get the power back up to where is should be….but that’s still more money on top of an already ridiculously expensive car.

And watch them try and deny your warranty.

I was told warranty will be denied for the immediate factory parts touching any aftermarket part.

So catback bolted up? Cats denied.
Headers bolted to engine block? Engine denied.
Lowering springs? Shocks denied.
Driveshaft? Trans and diff denied.

I was also told to go straight to the ombudsman if it happens.
