At what horsepower do you find traction non-existent on a street tires?

The highest horsepower car I have driven was a 2013 ZL1 automatic. Stock Chevy claims 580HP so thats what 475-490 to the wheel. While it was a beast it still hooked up fairly well from a start on the stock street tires and on the freeway no loss of traction. Back in the day I had a turbo charged EG (way to much money invested). If I was to drop 2nd or 3rd gear I would lose traction on the freeway and while it was insanely fast after gaining traction I actually lost a lot of races. Even then tires and suspension wasn't saving me.

I plan on going the FI route and I am constantly seeing people want 600-700-800 horsepower to the wheels. While this is great with slicks and for the track how realistic is it to have that much power for daily driven car on 295 or 300 series street tires.

The main reason I ask is for people that are considering getting a setup don't go buying a XXX horsepower kit and realize after their purchase they can never really get on it or their driving on ice without slicks.

With all that being said I am purchasing the Hellion Kit and looking for 1200HP:D

After driving my fathers Roush that is about 700 flywheel over the weekend, I have decided to tone down my needs for my 15. Although I enjoyed the power from 3rd on, there was zero traction all the way thru from a dig. He is putting racestars on and it will change everything but mine is a more of a DD than a weekend toy.

this. My girls car makes 640whp and its useless until 3rd gear. TBH I'd be happy with 500whp.

I've got 315 MPSS tires and I've got no traction above 3000RPM in first and second. Haven't run it on a prepped track, but for street use...

I have over 700 wheel with a set of nitto nt05r DRs. 1st gear is a no go unless I'm at the track. On the street, 2nd gear the car doesn't spin unless it's real cool out.

No dyno or track numbers yet. You can see my mods below. 1st gear worthless, 2nd gear controllable but if mash it in power band - worthless. Upgrading rear half shafts and going to drag radials.

What size are the tires and are you on 19's?

Sometime in the future I will either SC or add spray to mine.
Since i wish to keep it a daily driver, with stock engine, tires etc.
I see adding about 200 hp the upper limit i would go to.
So lets say low 600 hp range. No idea what that will translate to at the tires.
I will have to be gentle off the line i know to keep it from just becoming a display of tire smoke with no acceleration. But since in my daily use if i am pushing it hard i am usually in second, third, or fourth gear anyway. Should be okay. That snap on the short straight stretches between turns is more what I am looking for.

830whp, NR555R in 305/35/20 and I can get traction at the top of second. Although sometimes, depending on weather, it'll break free in third.

550 rwhp here. I may do the stage 2 when available but the car is exceedingly fun right now. I've already done most of my planned mods but will still concentrate on suspension at this point. Car hooks really well in second with a judicious roll of the throttle. If I just mash it in second it will go up in smoke. In other words, car feels fun and controllable at this level. Can't imagine the Roush stage 2 would add more than 50 or so rear wheels so still debating.

I'm not sure why he is having traction issues at that power level (~430 wheel HP). I'm within 20hp of that and there are no issues with the stock 275s of the PP. Can make them spin if I want to but if I roll away from a stop and mat it there is no spin. Absolutely no spin what so ever in 2nd unless I make an aggressive shift. Maybe the climate is to blame (summer tires in cool temps)?
