Well the dust has settled. We all pretty much know how we feel about the new GT500. For those who were considering purchase..... Are you in? Or are you out?
I'm moving forward so long as my MSRP deal is intact and a few more things fall into the proper place over the next few months. But honestly at this price I will give the C8 a long look.
Not in for now. Have other priorities, and with my new engine and just 6k total miles on my GT350, I think I will enjoy it some more. Plus I have never been one to get the first version. Not that I think there will be problems, I'm just never on the ground floor of things.
Edit: Need a vote for : Not buying 2020 but will look to get 2021~2022 model.
2016 Shelby GT350, 2017 Ford Focus ST, On Order 2020 CTFP Shelby GT 500 with POTTS. Car is released and awaiting shipment. I am running out of time before having to leave for Japan on July 29th.
Honestly I’d get a used 997.1 GT3 with a manual if I was to spend over 100k on a car. Dealers will also put a huge ADM on the 500 as well. Even a stripper base will cost 90k or more.
I will wait on the c8 z06 and see specifications on it unless I find a msrp deal on a base gt 500. If these cars hit near the winter and the economy changes I think there will be some cars available for msrp.
