Anyone try replacing the interior lights (volume; etc)

I haven't cracked open the HVAC unit or Volume/Tune knobs but I wanted to change the lights from that lite blue to white.

Does Ford use a filter on the plastic to color the light? Or are there little SMD's wired to a PCB?

There was an older thread on here where folks were discussing trying to change the steering wheel control button illumination. The consensus was that those are small LED’s that illuminate in the standard default aqua color. Each LED would need to be removed from the board and replaced.

I don’t know why Ford didn’t just have ALL of the interior illumination tied to the My Color or dash illumination configuration when changing the color.

I like the My Color feature - but hate the fact that the steering wheel and HVAC center stack illumination stays aqua... just doesn’t look right.

It kills me that it couldn't tie that in to the feature with sequential lights. That Aqua Blue looks like ass.
