The R splitter is going to take a beating!

Check the :20 mark on this video. This R is just pulling out and there isn't even much of a bump but it gets pretty close!

I take every slight dip/exit/entrance at an extreme angle with the Shelby - 1,744 miles no scrapes. I got lots of practice with the Boss Laguna Seca with front splitter (1 inch of clearance) - that splitter ripped off entirely just going up hill in a parking garage!

Wheeeee!
I've scrapped a few times in the 1,100 miles I've driven. Was underneath and noticed the rivets that hold the splitter together are what takes the beating. The plastic doesn't have a scratch on it. I'd be curious if you could just put new rivets in and not worry.

My new driveway keeps kicking my ass (but not nearly as bad as the old one would have)... Thankfully it's not visible.

Yes, nothing visible yet - but God, I mean Ford, made this car with a backup cam and I'll just have to be "that guy" who backs into spots.

This would be my first lowered car of any sort. What should I expect to be doing, coming at all speed bumps at an angle, never go straight into any type of driveway/plaza entrance?

If you don't take precautions, you'll be leaving parts of your splitter all over the ground.

Basically yes, although speed bumps will vary in height, so you will need to use your best judgement as to what you can approach straight on

Be mindful of the speed bumps. They're not all created equal and some are just downright nasty. I avoid them at all cost. I'll never forget the time I went over a tall+wide bump and came down hard on the other side--cracking my ground kit on my old car (which wasn't as low as this car).

When you're driving around in unknown neighborhoods, take extra care to pay special attention to the dips at intersections.

As many have pointed out... when you're parking this thing you're not going to clear any curbs or parking blocks. I'd much rather stop my car too far back, check the distance, and then move a little more... than risk nailing that front-end (feel free to back in & use the camera)

That's all I can think of at this point.

Thanks for the tips. I'll just start practicing now so it'll just be a habit when time comes.

Not suggesting it be left off and the car is designed for it to be on, but for those who have driven without and then with the splitter installed just for highway and street driving, did you notice any difference?
