I am happy with everything except the seat cooling.....working with dealer and Ford on that.

The Shaker sound is pretty good. Though it is not as good as the Sony system in my previous Fords. You can not use the Navi if you put an SD card in for music. It really should have 2 SD slots. I picked up a tiny little flash drive that's about a half inch long with a black cap on the end.......64gb. I loaded it with about 20,000 songs and put it in the USB port in front of the shifter. You don't even see it. Works and sounds great. The SD just holds the NAVI card.

So, I don't regret the Premium. (But I do want my seat cooling fixed.)

To those to have base model. What is the gauge color in daytime and night?

Lastly the base model still comes with sync right? So it can't be that bad, the stereo is probably not that great but I'd rather upgrade the speakers and add a small sub myself rather than end up with the system problems I have....

Shaker sounds great.... love the sound. The rattling sometimes drives me crazy as well (depends on song!). I'll take the car back next month to get that looked at/fixed.

The seat backs could cool more but they are okay, I find. Will have ford look at that as well.

Navigation is just about worthless... it sucks. I was sold for a minute but now that I've tried to live with it, it sucks. I use a mobile phone for navigation.. use Nokia hear maps which are downloaded to the phone and I don't need reception (although live traffic you need to be connected).

Love the large screen (for backup camera) and the blind side warning (like that more than I thought).

I use Microsoft Grove music (aka zune/xbox music) to play music... it works great with a cheap mobile phone...

Overall I'm happy with the mustang... for the price. Had this been a $45k convertible I'd be livid. At $33k there are trades... some which can be fixed, like the rattling. Ford should have ensured there were no rattling from the jump. My accord had 200k miles and very little to no rattling... crazy.

Seats are great... I'll never go back to cloth... love to clean my car by spray.... and leather looks/feels great, to me.

Maybe don't keep pulling the SD card swapping between nav and your own music. Buy a couple gig tiny USB drive and put your music on that. Large SD is archaic tech anyways, never thought anyone would actually be using it for data storage.

I.......

I like mine so much, and so far no Problems with this car, and no oil usage on the car...... 2015 GT 5.0 Is a great car, and I liked my 2014 GT 5.0 Mustang , but this 2015 is much better in my book, but that is just me... :ford:

I have left my SD card in and not removed it at all. I use my iPhone for nav. I forgot to mention that my sub port in the dash (in front of the shifter) does not work at all. I'm afraid to take it in to fix it because I feel like if they take the center and dash apart it will start to rattle after they put it back together..

I would at least call them about it. It may be a simple fix like maybe a software reboot or something.

Only things that appealed to me were the larger screen, larger wheels, Leather seats.
So it wasn't worth the price and weight for me. It looks like 18's will be standard on 2016 base ecoboosts now too, which kind of makes me mad.

I went base and love it. There weren't enough features in Premium that I wanted - and there were too many that I specifically didn't want - to make it worthwhile for me. I did however get the performance package and I love how taut the ride is.

To each their own.

I like my Leather Seats, MyFord touch, the toggles. I like the look of my rear diffuser better than base model, Pony projection lights are cool. I like the Aluminum foot pedal, door sills, lighting, and most importantly the Garage Door Opener. That was a big selling point. Heated/Cooled seats are meh. Everyone who has tried the cooling seats in my car thinks they are sitting on water or peed themselves.

So I don't regret it one bit. Love it.

The Premium package was not in my original plan; in fact I was against it due to the price. Once the quick decision was made to dump the Focus purchase and go with the Stang, it was all about just getting a GT; and I wanted Ruby, AT, Nav, Rev Assist and the 18" foundry wheels. I found "the one" online which even included 3:55, apparently heading to a dealership two hours north of us. :ford:

After a couple of days of waiting to see how our chosen local dealership was gonna intercept transit of "my" car once it hit CA (supposedly a dealership can work with Ford to claim the car they want by VIN even if headed to another dealership), we decided we didn't want to deal with the additional stress of phone calls and such (I was trying to unload my Rubicon in the middle of this) and literally bought the one "off the rack" I had test-driven at the dealership we were working with. Ended up with what I wanted (the 20" foundry wheels quickly grew on me - LOVE the size) with tons of unexpected bonuses, and couldn't be happier.

My Rubicon had a sound system installed that put this premium Shaker to shame (the one drawback of the extra cost of Premium) but it was easy to upgrade the sub; the trunk is accommodated to fit one already. Of course, it is not enough for me so this is an ongoing project...(I am such an audio snob :headbonk:).

came from a lexus, so i definately wanted the premium for all the various features. I test drove a base and the tiny screen was terrible for the backup camera.

the premium interior is the only thing keeping me from selling this car, I love the interior. If I would've had a base then this car would be gone already. It's just like with the 2004 termi, looks sexy on the outside then you get in it and it's disappointment central it's so ugly and cheap. I'm one to like luxury and comfort and speed as my second priority so this is only my opinion

I know the feeling. If my ecoboost was a base I would have traded it in on a base gt already. I just can't go from premium back to a base and the premium gt is more than I'm willing to spend.

You spend all your time inside the car. And the premium package is just a nicer place to spend that time. Besides I think the ceramic leather seats look classy as hell!
