Hi Everyone,

I've really been enjoying my 2020 EB company car. In the last 5 weeks I logged over 3.5K miles and a majority of it has been enjoyable. The car was a factory certified pre-owned purchase which is great in terms of peace of mind with the power train.

My issue is the all day comfort of the drivers seat, especially the seat bottom. It feels as if the previous owner may have been a bigger person, and that the foam may have broken down some. I have to wonder if this is covered by warranty or not. The seat bottom feels like there is virtually no padding at the hips especially. I've sat in the passenger side seat and it still feels fresh and properly supportive.

I had been thinking about this for a few weeks now and I did do a forum search before posting this. Anyone have any info on whether this is common and/or could it be covered on a CPO warranty?

Thanks in advance.

Upholstery and trim is generally not covered by CPO type warranties, unless damaged by a covered component (consequential damage.)

No, that will not be covered by the CPO warranty.
If this is something you don't feel like you can live with then I suggest you find a local shop that does auto upholstery and ask if they can help.
Personally I don't find them all that uncomfortable and we've done several 6-8 hour trips in the car.

I put a gel pad in the passenger seat that I bought off eBay. Helps give the passenger some extra comfort on long trips. You could put one inside your driver seat. However, I also run seat covers, and so it is on top of the seat but under the seat cover. Note that does virtually negate the heat/cool effectiveness.

Search eBay for Motorcycle Seat Gel Pad , size 48*35*2CM .

Of course if you have Heated/Cooled seats you'll want to consider what material to use to avoid hindering function of that feature.

Thanks for the suggestions. I do have the heated and cooled seats, and I honestly have to say that the heating/cooling are better than my 23' GMC Canyon Denali. That truck has heated/ventilated seats. GM was too cheap to route a/c air to them. Suprised to say this but, Ford optioned these cars generously where as GM cut every corner they could once again.
