No scientific data but I can tell you my experience with both. I think ignite red is the best bang for the buck. I have dynoed my car on pump, c-85, and ignite with my whipple and my results were almost identical between ignite and c85. It was a remote tune so it's possible we didn't get every last hp. I think ignite and c85 are comparable products and ignite red comes in at about half the cost. I buy it direct from ignite and they ship directly to my shop so it's super convenient. Ignite red is e90 so it's not exactly e85 if you plan to run pump e85 at all.

Yeah, cost wise, it's definitely cheaper. Also was told it didn't have MTBE which is what apparently eats up the injectors.

Not sure what freight looks like, gonna call in the AM and see what it'll cost to ship 4 barrels.

In the race car we use “renegade e112” or something like that. Purple drum of race e85. It’s leaded tho so you ;don’t want to use it everyday.

One of our local LS shops is doing a group buy on the Ignite Red, Pricing is $400 for a 55gal drum , 375 if he can get 8+ drums shipped.

He said on the LS stuff Ignite's more consistent than C85 but like you said, that's probably salesman speak for, Both make the same power but I'm an Ignite fuel dealer, not VP.

I'm fixing to get a flex fuel tune for my 18 next week and tested the nearest ethanol flex fuel yesterday, showed just under E75 and 1,89 gal

How much of that $400 for 55gal is freight? I was told $277 a barrel + freight.

$277, sounds like a shipping quote I got from Hyperfuels on their E98.

His email reads, "Should be between $375 and $400 per drum shipped maybe a little cheaper with 8+."

They should come 4 drums strapped to a pallet so the shipping should be a flat 277 / by X drums.
