Hey has anyone installed a Paxton or Vortech yet? How do you like it?

1. What are the main differences between the Vortech Self Contained V3 and the Paxton 2200 Self Contained?

So the vortech for the 15's has tubing that runs both ways like in the first picture as the final product?
the piece going to the factory airbox will be a molded plastic piece similar to the 11-14

the kit is very similar to the 11-14.

the changes are,
reservoir tank is now a solid piece, not plastic
tubing runs at an angle instead of straight down
tubing coming out of the intercooler is larger (air straightener has been deleted and maf signal over 11-14 kits is much improved.

as far as the difference between vortech and Paxton, the Paxton head unit is a little larger, both are sl, and the logos will be different, that's it really.

we've had customers goe 9.4's on the v3, and 8.9s on the 2200

both are very capable head units.

many upgraded head units available as well in oil fed form, depending on how far you plan on going

as far as the pics you posted, the 2nd one is an 11-14 kit. and the tubing goes the same way, the difference is on the 11-14, it was a tighter fit, and the outlet out of the blower went straight down.

with the room in the fenders, it goes out at an angle

both kits are very similar

this gives you a better angle on the 11-14 kit

Thanks, how much more money does the bigger head unit of the Paxton cost than the vortech

after the 2200 sl

you have the oil fed sl, (same as vortech jt trim)

ysir (same as vortech ysi)

then you have billet jt, then billet ysi

just depends on how crazy you want to get

OK so since the Paxton 2200 sl is same price as the vortech v3, there is really no reason to go with the v3 since the Paxton makes more power correct? Trying to get all the facts straight before I place order.

depends on how far you want to go

like I said, the v3 is mid to low 9 second capable and is very responsive at 10-12 psi range

I have a billet wheel vortech jt trim on order through beefcake. I can not wait for it to come in and beef was nothing but helpful when it came to picking out exactly what was going to fit my needs! best bang for your buck blower setup on the market IMO!

the billet jt imo is the nastiest "all around blower" ever made

makes decent power at lower boost, and 1100 or so rwhp potential without having to spin it to the end of the moon

So is there going to be a "Paxton" kit released for the 2015? I read it that way but so much talk about the 11-14 kits and various head units, it confused me as to whether there is a specific "Paxton kit". (I have seen the Vortech and Procharger kits.)

Thanks terry. I hadn't seen any release posts with the Paxton specifically.
