I have a PP2 on order, right now it is just a base with the minimal options to get the PP2 package. I am considering upgrading it to a premium while I still can, dealer says I need to decide before Monday, but I am not sure if I will miss out on much staying non premium and saving the $4k for mods.

The choice is totally yours. BUT the premium has all the bells and whistles and if you are going to keep your car for a while, why not enjoy the extras everyday.

What you get with premium is not easily gotten down the road if you change your mind. Any mods you would buy with the extra 4k could still be gotten with the premium, just maybe a later down the road.

Only downside of the premium is that the leather kinda sucks, it wears and rips easily.

Another way to think about it, is that yes you may pay more for it now but you will also get more for it when/if you sell.

Personally I would get the base and use the rest of the money for mods or track days. $4k will get you a lot of track days.

Oh, I have a totally different budget for track days and tires for said track days.

I didn't have any issues with my 2015 premium leather, I see some people have saggy leather.

You will most likely regret it if you don't upgrade to the premium.

I was concerned that I wouldn't like the base, but I love it. The cloth seats hold you very well, and it sill has a lot of great features.

I almost ordered an Base PP2. However since it's not my daily and I will be setting the suspension up for road courses, I didn't want the Magnaride or Active Exhaust. All of that extra stuff doesn't impress me, it's a sports car not a Cadillac.
