Do you have Easy Entry/Exit on? That’s when mine will (occasionally) do it.
My 2017 GT conv did this a couple of months ago for the first time. I opened then closed the door and it stopped. You probably are correct associating this with the easy entry/exit function. At any rate, I have 8 year ESP. If the mirror fails before then, warranty will cover it.

No, can't say that I've noticed...I'm sure I would though as a regular side mirror checker.

You are correct. I shut off the easy entry / function. Seems okay for now.

I wonder if this is the same deal as the window bouncing up and down?

Anyone try adding dielectric grease to the mirror plug1?

Same issue as well. Press the memory button and calms down, but annoying we have to deal with it.

I had a mirror replaced and it did it the first time i powered up. I then set it where I wanted and resaved the seat memory and it hasn’t done it since.

All I know is It has to do with the memory feature... I assume it automatically tilts when in reverse, (my S550 does not have the feature so I going off of other cars I have owned).

I still think it is probably a moisture issue.

Strangely, they don't auto tilt when in reverse, at least not on the manual shift. I set the memory 3 button to have the tilt when reversing.

A10s don't either and I've done the exact same thing. Also changed the color of my gauge cluster as an extra indicator before I set off.

In the last few days I've learned that I should set the #2 memory to move the seat all the way forward and now #3 should be for reversing.

Brilliant.

My 2020 was built a couple months after the 18-Jan-2020 date. It has done that once on the driver's side and once on the passenger side. BOTH times were upon starting the engine right after washing the car.

I gave up on it. Just hit the push start and hit the mirror control it instantly stops. It is what it is. no big deal.

I've seen it on my 2015 Mustang and my 2017 F150. Always when using the memory buttons.
