No letter for me. Not surprising really
You and me both. I've had zero contact from Ford and zero dealer-initiated contact so to have not received this letter is no surprise.

I got a letter. Gobsmacked.
Doubt the EcoBoost guys will get it as it does appear to be specific to the slight drop in power to th V8.

I also got the letter although I read mine a little differently:

As you have placed an order for a Mustang and we have made a monumental hash of this worldwide launch, particularly in Australia where those fellas were due to wait so long for delivery that there was a real risk that some of them would no longer be able to drive by the time they got the car, we thought we’d cook up an excuse to write to you to let you know that actually, we’ve decided to change export schedules between right hand drive countries and sadly, you’re about to be disappointed. So let’s get that out of the way by telling you realistically, don’t expect your car before the end of this year. There. It’s out there. Deal with it.

However, let’s also tell you something we’ve known for some time because after all, we designed this car with the latest CAD technology so what’s the chances of getting to this stage and Bryan in assembly suddenly discovering that “Hey, this f****n exhaust don’t fit !”. So yes the exhaust didn’t fit, the computer told us that back in 2014, so we redid it and the power was down a bit. We know that’s a bit of a pisser but we’ve stripped away so many other aspects of the car compared with the US version and you’re still surprising us with your loyalty that we figured screw it, what’s a few horsepower between us. Nonetheless, we think it is important to highlight this to you because we pride ourselves on making sure you Brits know exactly what you are buying although if you think we’re giving you any other detailed confirmation about specifications, we suggest you think again.

You’re an early adopter and frankly, you put down 2 large without even seeing the car or knowing much about the spec so you’re an emotional purchaser. That being so, let me play on that and remind you of the look, sound and feel of your New Mustang and the fact that it will be something truly special on UK roads. Quite possibly because by the time you actually get it, everyone else will be on hoverboards.

This should help you to stay quiet for a while but frankly, I’m not losing any sleep if it doesn’t – I’m too busy watching my US colleagues roll out the 2016 Mustang and of course the GT350 in the US.

On the plus side, it is the first confirmation that my dealer did actually do something after I handed over the money and at least I know they got my order I suppose.

Dealer will be well hacked off if it doesn't arrive til January because he can keep it in his garage for three months while I wait for the weather to improve.

And wait for the brand new 2016 plates to boot.

That's provided an amusing end to an otherwise dull day. Thank you sir

Exactly as I'd heard nothing I was beginning to wonder if the order had been placed at all.

Pleased to get some correspondence as I my ordered 6 weeks ago.

Both me and my old man got one.... Looks like the sports cat is even more needed now! Has anyone ordered that and if so how much was it to ship it to the UK?

I got the same letter too.

I emailed fords UK CEO to complain about delivery time, he said when I ordered mine early March that there was 1200 orders in front of mine. I then pointed out that I could go to the states & order 1 in 12 weeks No reply to that ! He did say 8 weeks delivery not the 12 quoted.

I couldn't care less about the 12 week delivery time. Its on a ship going over the Atlantic. 3 Months sounds about right for such a trip.

Question. Did you get the right name on your letter? Mine came through as "Peter Fitzpatrick". Just asking since yours says Mr Anderson and It's a bit of a coincidence! Haha.
No my name was correct (Paul Anderson). Peter Fitzpatrick?? They could have at least got it almost right, as long as some guy called Peter Fitzpatrick doesn't get your car instead

"Lets send this letter to Ben Anderson"

"Sir it says Peter Fitzpatrik"

"I'm not wasting any-more toner"

Is how I imagine the conversation went. I already phoned the dealer to make sure no one was using our address for fraud. No record of a Mr Fitzpatrick ordering a pony.
