This is really helpful mate - really appreciate you taking the time to collate it. Hope we can get some folks all together for a Yorkshire meet up. Even if I haven't got a convertible ;)
I had this. Dealer fixed it. Known issue to them. Allegedly, door has to be dismantled but no idea if that's true. Let me know if you want me to get more info.
I've had the SD card disappear a couple of times. Once - turning the car off and on again sorted it.
Second time, I did that again and the whole Sync thing quit on me - blank screen. Switched the car off again and left it for a minute and then powered up again. Screen told me it was doing...
Likewise fella. Sorry the weather bailed out on you all though. Those Lambos, Ferraris and Porsches looked good but you were getting a lot of attention there with your five point O as in "Oh my God what is that - I love it - can I take a photo". :)
Every one loves a 'Stang
Good work fella. You'll have to join some of the rest of us Yorkshire based folk on a bit of a run. Picking up your own car is exhilarating - no doubt - but not far behind it is driving along with a few others which just makes you smile like crazy !
Get behind that wheel and get around...
I'm planning on getting there for 09:00 and then hanging around til others turn up.
I have to confess I am only going to meet other Mustang owners really so unless there is a general desire to get gridlocked in Meadowhall, I wonder whether there might be some sense in meeting up somewhere less...
Fortune has shone on me and I too shall be at the Meadowhall event on Saturday.
Beware that I shall be shamelessly asking to listen to gearboxes ! - http://www.mustang6g.com/forums/showthread.php?t=63644
Hoping someone with more mechanical brains than me can give me a steer here.
I've got four symptoms which I think have been there since day 0 but I was too excited to notice :
Fairly loud "clicking" noise when rapidly releasing the clutch pedal with engine on - even if stationary
Loud "clunk"...
Great write up and that mountain scenery sure does look good on your car. Made up for you that you're both having a great trip - and a little jealous of course.
Thanks for posting this up jord79.
If it helps, I had a passenger window defect - didn't drop fast enough when opening it up. Got it sorted by my dealer. Don't think it was anything to do with door alignment. They seemed to recognise it when I took it in and said the door had to be taken...
I took my car to be detailed shortly after I bought it and the detailer got rid of it all.
Others on this forum who have a passion for detailing have much more relevant experience : stiggy for example did a very helpful explanation and specifically dealt with the "Belgian Problem" ...
I tried it as I was curious to see if it made any difference as was Modurstang Mike. Didn't notice any difference particularly so wouldn't pay the extra next time personally.
I always think the name is relatively unimportant.
Virgin, Tesco, Asda, Amazon, Google - all examples. What matters is what you do behind that name.
Only thing I would suggest is use something that shortens easily to 11 characters or less - useful for SMS communications.
But you gotta...
