Below are pictures of the motorcycles I (and my wife) have owned. I wasn't into taking pictures in those days (0-1988 AD) so I had to find pictures on the internet. Some were hard to find in the right color and option.

I house sat for a friend in late 1970. He had an old Sears 106cc basket case in his garage. I put it together and thought it fun, so decided to buy a motorcycle of my own. I've never been one to work my way up (first handgun was an 8 3/8 Model 29) so I bought the fastest mass produced motorcycle. I had less than 5 miles MC riding experience on the 106cc. The shop actually closed early so they could follow me and watch me die. I felt bad about disappointing them.

First Motorcycle: Funny they touted an unbelievable 2HP per cubic inch. My Cadillac ATS puts out over 2.2 per cubic inch. How times change. Running chambers and bigger carbs, etc I got less than 15 MPG when run hard.

Second Motorcycle: Thought I'd try sophistication: Was nice for long trips. Did not like the extreme body language needed to wheely a longitudinal engine with drive shaft. Almost impossible to keep the Del Ortos perfectly synced.

Third Motorcycle: Back to two strokes. Much faster than the H1 and with decent brakes. Still somewhat of a flexy-flyer though. Mine was exactly like the one in this picture except I did not add a second front disk.

Fourth Motorcycle after a few years more into off-roading (4 wheel):

Fifth Motorcycle: My wife wanted one so I gave her the 1980 and got a 1981.

Sixth and seventh motorcycles: Actually a pair of 1983s, a titanium for me and a red for my wife. The titanium was the hardest to find a good pic of and its not very good. The color was actually fairly close to GM's Champagne.

Eighth and ninth motorcycles: Wanted to try Hondas. The 700 nighthawk for my wife was a huge mistake; she hated the loss of power and the handling differences due to the driveshaft.

Tenth motorcycle: Tried Yamaha. Good to get a boost of torque after the 1000 Interceptor.

Eleventh motorcycle: Actually my wife's. She had had enough of the under-powered Nighthawk.

Twelfth and last motorcycle:

I stopped riding a few years later when my wife told me I couldn't take our new son to day care by bungying him to the seat.

I've got a 2015 Yamaha Fz09 that fights for my time on the weekends and commute to work. It is my 3rd bike so far.

The 1100Es were great bikes. FWIW, I just copy pasted a 3 year old postI made in another forum. It took hours to dig up pictures then. LoL

Sold it to make room for the mustang. I get to drive the Mustang more, than I got to ride, so fair trade I guess.
