Anyone else get a PCM update recently?

Has anyone else been given a PCM update recently or last year at the dealership?
I have a 2020 and my dealership updated mine saying that a newer version was available,
I took it in because a random wrench light popped and the car went into limp mode which went away after restarting the engine.

The tech @ dealership said an update was actually available, so he updated PCM and car accepted it with no issues and no returned errors,
but I don't know if the update limits power or output, not sure how these PCM updates work... this is the only PCM update the car has ever had since it was purchased new in 2020.

Would this PCM update have any negative effects on the engine or limit it's power compared to before?

Ford does not provide any details as to what is changed in an update, so it is very unlikely you will ever get an answer to your question. The technician is not supposed to perform any updates unless directed by a TSB, SSB or WSM. I would be curious what lead to to the update.

I have a 2020 GT California Special. I have had 3 oil changes at the dealership and none of the paper work ever stated a PCM update. The only software updates I have received are for SYNC and the transmission.
