I get in a hurry some and do not edit, thanks for the info. "My bad" Yes the discounts for yesteryears tech verses the all new 2015 tech. and !#@$^% I am?!?!... I've got to test and weigh out the long, and the short of both, to for see if I can live with one 4 years or more, and be happy with my purchase:headbonk:. You and I both want the best possible layout of the perfect car the first time around. A year or so down the road and have no regrets or say if only I had waited I could have got this and that. It might happen anyway??
Waiting for the next Model Year and the changes/improvements that come with it is a classic effort in futility. Each year you can rationalize waiting until (next) year and then do it again, the following year. I personally just jump on the inaugural year of a new design launch so the Vehicle still looks pretty much the same for at least the next 4 years. I never purchase a Vehicle in the last year of its design run. Depreciation is bad enough with a current body style but is much worse usually following the last years production.

I`m placing an order for a 2015 Mustang Convertible in "Base" V6 Trim with A/T along with the standard 050A Equipment Package with the Spare Tire being the only add on Option, period! My two biggest complaints are (no) Sirius Radio availability and no choice for the Cloth Interior, only Ebony Black, uuuggg. Did they have to kill off the much more attractive lighter "Stone" Interior too? Race Red with a Black Top I can live with, but hot, lint & dust showing Black Fabric Seats, not so much.
I know, I was looking forward to some more upscale options too. I have a 2007 V-8 Mustang 6 speed and love driving it to shows, but I am getting to the age when I want an automatic sporty car as a daily driver. I also want reasonable fuel economy and performance. So, I have ordered a 2015 Ruby Red V-6 as my daily driver. My dealer has an installer who is going to put in a Sirius Satellite Radio. If the black cloth interior is indeed uuuggg, He has a leather upholstery expert who can give me any color I want. If I am unhappy, there is always 2016!

Someone on the forums mentioned a good place to get leather seats and back seats if you wanted to upgrade.

Another option to having aftermarket upholstery done ...

Ceramic "cloth" will be available on base EB & GT, so you could wait for e-bay to get flooded with new take-off seat covers in either cloth OR leather for that factory look too.

I spent a lot of time looking at the V6 when I was in Dearborn, MI, at the Mustang Memories show. I thought it was a very solid car and would make an excellent platform for someone who wanted a "no frills" Mustang. Even without some of the driver technologies on the other models, I really liked the way the cloth interior looked, and the addition of the option with the 18" foundry wheels (which includes a spoiler), made it a solid car.

I posted photos of it in the competition orange and interior thread

The cost of doing "after-market" Seating Changes, be they Fabric Cloth or Leather is usually very costly. Better to just upgrade to Premium in EB or GT and pay the extra upfront unless you verify both the price and quality of the "after-market" installer. If it doesn`t come out looking very "OEM" resale value will also be an issue down the road unless your selling it to a Car Show Collector.

Thank you so much for these pictures. I've been waiting to see a V6's exterior and interior for a while now. Looks great.

Hi there. New member, im coming from a 4.0L nissan frontier. Interested in the v6 pony because of the obvious price point and the HP/TQ ratings are more than my truck already so i figured pairing that to a 6MT would be a fun little DD for me. not looking forward to grid lock, but my weekend drives to the country will be much nicer.

been going into the process expecting to buy Guard, hence my name. but after an hour on this forum now im not sure! there seems to be a lot of different pictures of guard and i was so hoping for a dark green, almost Pine paint job similar to the old steve mcqueen look.

now im kinda wondering if i should do the dark ruby red instead.

Tony Alonso, Thanks for costing me an additional $995! I was all set on Ordering my 2015 Mustang Convertible in the Base V6 Trim with the Standard Equipment Package 050A and adding simply the Optional Spare Tire for only an additional $195. "Now" after seeing your Photo`s of the Base V6 FastBack Coupe (with) the added 051A Equipment Package, I`m on the hook for another $1000! Just the damn 18`` Foundry Wheels & Tires are worth the upgrade compared to the 17`` "Bright (Sparkle) Wheels and Tires. I don`t give a damn about the LED Fog Lamps, never use them and being LED in the U.S. its strictly decorative (not function) anyhow. In Canada, the Fog Lamps for the 2015 Mustang are Standard Equipment at N/C throughout (all) Trim lines and are Halogen (not) LED, so they are functional. The Power Driver Seat to me is unimportant as I seldom change Seat positions. The (included) Blade Spoiler, IMHO is "ugly" and thankfully can be (Deleted) with Option Code # 13D, Spoiler Delete. The Convertible in Race Red with the Black Top and those 18 Foundry Wheels and Tires are worth the 1K upgrade!
PS: I know it was a Pre-Production Vehicle (but) did you notice the Base Radio had the "Mute" Button where the "Sirius" Button was supposed to be? Guess that settles the matter of Satellite Radio being available in Base Trim once and for all. Rats!
PSS: Still disappointed that either "Stone" or a "Red" Cloth Fabric Interior was not offered as an option. I special ordered my 1994 Mustang Convertible in "Rio Red" similar to "Race Red" with the Red Cloth Interior and it looked great. It was only available in MY 1994 and gone for 1995.

Take-Off Seat Covers (Ceramic Cloth) on Ebay for Base, EB. or GT 2015 Mustangs? If your talking about genuine OEM Interior Covers, they are not slip off Fabric Seat covers that can simply be installed. Since the Mid 90`s, all Cloth fabric Seat Coverings are glued/bonded directly to the Foam Seat Material. If you suffer a cigarette burn hole or a tear, you need to replace the entire Seat Cushion!

Go on e-bay and look.

2010-14 Mustang & GT500 there are lots of complete O.E. take-off Seat cover sets available.

If they are factory glued, they have figured out how to remove them to make them sell-able and buyers have figured out how to install them with satisfactory results (check out any of the message boards that cater to the S197 crowd).

I know the cloth upholstery on my wife's 2013 Grand Caravan is glued to the seat foam so I know exactly what you are talking about. It is also removable, as there are many that have done it in order to install aftermarket seat heaters (carefully peel upholstery off, install / glue heaters in, then re-glue upholstery down).

The cloth upholstery on my 1994, 1998, & 2004 V6 Mustangs were also glued to the foam (99% sure). I don't think the 2010-14 were this way though.

I know the 1994 Mustangs were glued. I had to replace a rear seat cushion because of an accidental cigarette burn hole and I know for a fact that it was glued to the Foam Seat.

My 2007 GT with cloth seats had the foam replaced because of a tear where one of the supports rubbed through. The seat covering was separate from it.

Those wheels really change up the look nicely. These are the same wheels that I am getting on my GT. Visually, I think they help the V6 to look more "premium"

Yes, it had a MUTE button.

Good luck on your new vehicle!!
