ill admit sound was one of the major factors for choosing the 6. the weight is almost identical, and I love the feeling/power band of a NA car that pulls to 7k. the eb gives up hard at 5500. im sure we'll get some EB guys in here talking shit real soon, about how stupid it is to buy a 6.

I just too a buddy from work for a quick ride and he was impressed enough to seriously think about buying one. hes a long time mustang guy and even had a kenne bell supercharged SN95 back in the day. he said he felt like my car was quicker. low 13's is a quick street car. I don't care what the EB guys say :p he also said its one of the best sounding v6's hes ever heard and id have to agree :p

Video sounds very nice! What is the drone like in the cabin with the Borla Touring Cat back?

Absolutely Zero drone. This is why I went with Borla. My experience with them for my 2012 Mustang V6 showed how they take drone seriously. The Borla Touring I had on my 2012 V6 had some drone and Borla shipped to Canada free replacements until the drone was gone. They kept updating the product. If memory serves, I believe Borla went through 3 versions before they solved it in the 2011-14 Mustang V6's.

If you don't mind can you share some local shops that do your mods and the price as well? I visit surrey almost every 4 months so It would be nice to know whether there are some good shops there.
Email me, [email protected], what mods you are thinking about and I'll get back to you.

Its funny, when the `15 Mustang was launched, there was a lot of "Buzz" in this Forum from V6 (haters) about the imminent demise of the 3.7 Engine after the first year. It was kept strictly as a Rental Fleet option, you think? The death of the 3.7 V6 much like that of rumors of Mark Twain`s passing before he actually died was a bit pre-mature. Here we are with the S550 MY `17 soon to be hitting Dealerships and the old, trusty, boring V6 is still under the Hood!

It is true but the 2017 v6 coupe is the bottom with no options available at all. The only way to get 051a is by getting the convertible. They seem to be slowly pushing it out. It is a shame especially with what Chevy has done with the V6 camaro. I wonder what 2018 will bring for the V6 mustang.

No way? That's a pretty shameless way to force the ecoboost on people.

Yep I saw the 2017 order form, unless I read it wrong there were no options for the coupe. Keeping mine and slowly turning into a pony package premium.

If the death of the v6 were to happen, it would happen for the first refresh in 2018, not 2017 since 2017 is basically the same as 15/16 except for the new exterior colors.

As far as it being a rumor, I actually believe it will happen. It seems like Ford just wanted to see how much sales the v6 would generate to see if it would be ideal to keep it going. If Ford still had any plans to keep the v6 going I’m sure they would have given it some options.
I don’t what the sales numbers are for the v6 in comparison to the eb/gt’s but I’m sure it is very low, most of the s550s I see on the road are either eb/gt.

In my opinion the v6 Mustang is nearing the end of its lifetime, it doesn’t seem reasonable for Ford to spend any more money on the v6 when they know most buyers will go the other routes.
