That is robbery. Some shops may change a minimum of 1 hour for all jobs. I’d pay no more than an hour worth of whatever the shop rate is. Mind you, this can be done on jackstands with typical tools easily too.
Right, I mean, what's their hourly rate? Either they're charging $350/hour or a reasonable rate but taking 3-1/2 hours ...

I just wanted to write down what I think about my Steeda H pipe. One thing I didn't initially see until I received it, but the Steeda h pipe has a butt connection at the rear. I'm not really sure if I think that is a worse way of connecting verses a slide in style connection or not. But on 18 and newer it keeps your heat shield that are welded on the pipes from the factory. It installs easily. The included clamps are ok. But I am probably going to upgrade the clamps to some off the double style butt clamps.

I haven't read anywhere what exactly a resonator does. Most people just say it is a second muffler. And I could agree with that. But it is a muffler underneath the passenger compartment. I think it helps keep the passenger compartment quiet.

I have active exhaust and on track mode. It now has vibration coming from the floor. Even my 11 year old son commented on it. He helped me install it so he got the first ride with it installed. On quiet mode there isn't any additional vibration. The sound is deeper in tone. When reving the engine in park. There is a little more crackle/rasp. But in gear driving I haven't noticed any additional crackle/rasp than before without the h pipe.

So my final opinion is it actually makes the active exhaust better. It makes the different modes even further apart. Quiet mode is still quiet. Track mode actually gives the car a different feel with the sound and vibrations. I probably wont drive around with the track exhaust very often. But if I'm taking someone for a fun ride. I think it will just add to the excitement.

I contacted Steeda and they will install it at a very reasonable price! Wayyyyy less than what my local shop asked for! While I'm there, I might get some minor suspension work done too!
Double win!

Does anyone have any clamps to recommend to use with the Steeda H pipe to ensure it doesn’t leak. I wanted to get it welded but I haven’t found a shop that will do it for less than $250 and they all act like they have to do so much modification to make it work.

Of course they are back ordered. Just my luck.
Yes, they are backordered on multiple websites. However, according to the vendor that I ordered them from a few weeks ago, they should ship from the manufacturer tomorrow. If you PM me, I'll send you the details. I'm not sure about forum policy when it comes to mentioning vendors.

As soon as mine come in, I'm installing my Steeda H-Pipe!!! Can't wait!
