After searching through here, reading opinions, and many videos, I decided on the Corsa Xtreme catback for my exhaust setup! I know this setup only comes in a 3" option, so my question is, are there any negatives to putting this on if I don't plan on going F/I (loss of HP/TQ, back pressure issues, ECU pulling timing to protect cats, etc.)?

I haven't experienced any negatives and have been running the cat back for a year now.

Actually, as exhaust gasses cool, having a too big exhaust diameter can slow velocities and attenuate scavenging. I have no idea what the ideal diameter is, but have read about this before.

When the car goes into Cat over temp protection, it doesn't pull timing. It dumps in more fuel. You'll be hard pressed to find conclusive data that a cat back will cause this.
