Any negative comments toward your Mustang?

my first mustang was an 05 V6
I'm currently driving a 13 GT
By the end of the year, I'll be driving a 15 or 16 EcoBoost

Personally, I'll never understand it when a mustang driver puts down another mustang driver, over something as stupid as engine size or transmission type, especially when sales of the "lesser" models are a factor in managing costs for the high end variants.

It goes back to the muscle car area, when performance and the V8 ruled,many believe the Mustang should be a V8 or not at all,so that is why folks look down on anything that is not a performance Mustang,such as the 4 & 6 Banger Mustangs.

Let me give a broad spectrum. These are the comments I've observed across my ownership. Sorry for any foul language ahead but it's what was said to me.

2007 Mustang V6 Auto (in Army)
-nice girl car
-not man enough to shift?
-couldn't afford a V8?
-V8 too much for you?
-oh you bought the bitch car
-is that the weak 4.0?
-did that come with tampons?

2008 GT manual (in Army)
-oh it only has 300hp?
-V8...are you trying to compensate for something?
-must need that big engine to make up for a little dick
-I guess it's a good car in a straight line

2010 Challenger R/T Classic M6
-my ram has that same engine and I'm faster
-why by the manual when an auto is faster
-oh its not an SRT
-why not just get a Camaro
-those only have 375HP
-why didn't you buy the SRT8
-looks like an old man's car

2015 Corvette C7 2LT M7
-that only has 460hp...hmm kinda weak.
-Oh its a base model
-the Auto is faster
-it's not a Z51? Why?
-it's not a Z06? That's disappointing
-why not just buy a Z06?
-A Hellcat is faster
-A Hellcat has way more horsepower
-that blue is a bitch blue
-A GTR would smoke you
-wasting your money on a toy
-6.2? Kind of small
-my 2010 SS camaro has 442 HP you only have 460 haha what a lame car and you only bought a 2LT? What's wrong couldn't afford a 2SS?

Yes this was an actual exchange at my work with someone who owns a 10 SS and he thought that corvettes identified with the SS badges.....

2015 Mustang GT M6
-only 435 HP?

There is probably many more and surprisingly only one comment about the S550. I learned after the 07 V6 to never let people get to me about my choice in car. I was new in the Army and still in my teens and got bullied into thinking my car was crap. I broke under the pressure and bought the GT and discovered no matter what you have its never good enough to others. All I have to do is make sure I'm happy and not let people's opinions get to me.

Well the first two were while I was Active Army. The rest just come with the area lol very opinionated people in NOVA. Plus unless it's a Merc or Beemer you're trailer trash. The place I work now is alot of military Vets and honestly it's dick measuring contest. I just laugh when the guy telling me my car is shit drives around a Toyota Tercel.....

Don't get me wrong those cars did receive many positive comments. Just showing it doesn't matter what you own.

I agree buy and drive what makes you happy,but there are a lot of Mustang folks that don"t accept the 4 & 6 Banger Mustangs,or the 2015 Mustang,with the IRS & Euro look,it is very obvious at car shows,very little attention paid to 2015 Mustangs, and if it isn"t a GT none at all.

None so far... funny exchanges though... cousin saw me and said "wow, you got the five oh". I said, "no, the 4 turbo". He said, "turbo?". He was looking like what the hell is that? Outside of that somewhat negative exchange, people compliment the car. It is a vert, so they will, no matter what engine you have.

I don't really give a crap what a guy thinks... ladies love the car right now... until 1 billion of them get on the hwy. lol

FYI its "bummer". Beemer corresponds with BMW's line of motorcycles. Sorry to correct you but its a annoyance of mine (diehard BMW fan).

I had a guy pull up next to me in his 2013 GT and tell me he didn't like my 2015 body style etc etc. I just laughed at him and thought to myself how this guy is either jealous or a real asshole to want to go out of his way to tell me that.
