Just got home bump!
Dropped down to 2.75 pulley and car is on the dyno …. going to do some back to back pulls with pump E85 and ignite .

Going to push this motor a little bit more before the swap in spring.

Hopefully it does not blow before as I just found a fox body that will be getting the motor and trans.

I will be swapping an LPF freshly built trans(with extra clutches) with the "5.2" motor /10 rib 20 %OD set up /Kooks long tubes . I will start with a 3.75 pulley and work my way down to a 3 inch pulley .

Car made 4 pulls but operator ran out of time to swap fuels.
it was colder than when previous pulls were made with 2.875 so picked up 2 psi
Only pulled to 7000 rpm so will try higher tomorrow .
STD numbers

So as to have back to fuel comparison will make another pull tomorrow before swapping the fuel .

Before I swap the motor in spring will be losing some weight with front and rear Baer drag brakes so might be an 8 in the cards with current set up.

3.375 10 rib pulley should make 1 psi more than 2.75 pulley and I hope a lot more torque especially since also going to long tubes ….so expect to crack 1000 whp with new set up ... but more importantly run 8's. If the 3.375 pulley does not do it have a 3 inch .

Fox body that will be getting the motor /trans(hopefully in one piece ) in back ground . Blue hellion car is still for sale but also hoping to run 8's in spring .

Technically I have 4 girls(counting the wife ) and 4 "other girls" including the GT350.

I have a 3 inch 6 rib whipple pulley on that .....and with the cold weather it feels like its also picked up 50 hp from when I last drove it .

it will be getting the 2.875 pulley that came off the 18GT and hitting the dyno next ....... good times !

Getting ready for the tracks to open .
Swapped front and rear brakes to the Baer
They are gorgeous looking and match the other red I have on the car .
Most importaly dropped 100 lbs of rotating weight plus I have new light weight battery .
Tuner also sent latest tune version with second gear leave and stocked up on ignite red so may ask for a little more timing .
Hoping combo is enough to run a 8.99 with maxed out six rib set up .
I am planning to put a ported CJ set up on new 5:2 motor with 10 rib I already have .

if the car should run an 8 as it is now , I may not bother with the swap and save the new set up for the fox body 😎

Any reasoning that you went with a 5.0 then a 5.2? I’m ordering a built sleeved motor next month and trying to think what I should do. Gen 5 Whipple 3.0L for now with 25psi and going to a 3.8L probably next year. Trying to get around 1300whp.

If you get the new 5.2 block you don’t need to sleeve it

I saw on the “Fast list “ you went 9.3@153 with a 3.25 pulley .
I have similar mods except I have stock manifolds /cat delete/tru X resonator instead of long tubes/resonator delete .

Thats why I think my car is a dog (or may be motor hurt ?) as fastest I have been with a 3 inch pulley is 9.6 @ 143 mph . I think that pass would have been a 9.3 though if I did not drop fuel pressure as previous pass it trapped 147 mph.
I am not sure long tubes /resonator delete alone will pick up that much mph but was planning to do that with the next motor (plus less restrictive resonator ).

As fast as you car is running with the 3.25 pulley it would be easy 8’s with the 2.75 pulley .

stock motor is 5.0 and had 5.2 built with the new voodoo block and Gen 3 heads (have a couple of them. now😎)
How are you seeing 25 psi ? still 6 rib ?
I saw you were looking for 10 rib/20 % OD . Did you switch ?
Also wanted to thank you for the hook up on the trans build with Scott . So glad after my fiasco with LPF . Still waiting on the trans they had since November. He said it would finally ship this weekend .. but that’s what he said last weekend . Lol
in contrast I drove another one I had , 5 hours to Scott . He was done the same day . I took in the scenery and I drove It home same day after it was done . Lol
Super impressed with him and his shop .
if I swap the one in the car now it will be going to him for a rebuild .
I also got to see his car which is super impressive . I think he has already gone 8’s . Stock converter too !

No problem! Scott’s a great guy and is phenomenal at what he does!!! He’s helped me out numerous times.

Nooo I was asking what would you suggest for a built motor, 5.0 or 5.2? Sleeved or nah, (more towards going sleeved). Going with TKM or RPG.

I’m buying one in April and trying to pick what I want to do. I’m still on the 3.25 right now but did order the 10rib kit with all the bells and whistles. I’m gonna go to 25psi of boost with it. Also got in ID1700X’s for the engine build. I got a K-member and just like why not do the whole engine then and be done hahaha.

I am Kind of partial to “5.2” ‘s but if you are not into “5.2” badges (like me ) and are going to sleeve It I would stick with the 5.0

I am also partial to RPG as I have a couple of his builds -both 5.2 .
one is a sleeved voodoo in my GT 350 and the other is non sleeved Gen 2 voodoo block /Boss crank/GT 350 heads in my 15 Hellion car .
I am sure you have already seen his level 3 /Gen 3 short block that he rates to 1500 whp which would more than meet your needs .

if You dont mind the wait you could save some on that by sending your long block, have your heads get the Frankenstein treatment, and get it back bullet proof !

I am sure you already know he rates the slightly cheaper non sleeved “level “ 2 /5.2 block at 1400 hp with similar internals .

I think sleeved , he rates the 5.2 blocks at 2000 hp so that’s still the strongest option .

Thanks for info!!! I talked to RPG this week and suggested to me to get a 5.2 unsleeved build. Said it will be reliable at 1300whp and some people are living 1400+ on them. Said only downside of sleeves is that they need refreshed every 2-3 years to prevent a sleeve drop. If I go for more power, I’ll get it sleeeved, but I think I’ll be happy a long time with 1300whp lol. Also said to only do the kinetic Motorsport crank saver bolt and not a MFP crank support as they are seeing bearing failure. Also planning on getting my blower ported by 1320 junkie to add little more boost on bigger pulleys. Should I get my heads ported as well by Frankenstein??? Is it worth it? Doing valve springs as well.
