75W-90 is the one for our transmission. Is the Amsoil 5w30 synchromesh the oil are suppose to use for tranny? It's the second one down fromantic their website I beleive.
Cool thanks brotha! And I think I read in manual it's 3 pints or something that it requires if I drain and fill?75W-90 is the one for our transmission.
5w30 engine oil is pretty close to 75w90 transmission oil in terms of thickness. they measure differently.75W-90 is the one for our transmission.
It is definitely worth it. Signature series all the way.Oohh ok. I think I'm going to join their club than to get the discount.
Oh, yeah...."well my Dad" had a 2001 Toyota Avalon that had over 350,000 miles on it. He just took it into the local oil change shops and had them put in the regular conventional Pennzoil or Quaker State for its whole life.My dad had a 95 Silverado he sold a few years ago that had amsoil from day 1. It had 240k on it when sold, and the only thing ever done to that engine was a water pump replacement. I think he told me every 12k miles he changed the filter and added a quart....
Comparing a toyota economy sedan to a performance engine that has entirely different requirements is not even apples to apples.Oh, yeah...."well my Dad" had a 2001 Toyota Avalon that had over 350,000 miles on it. Point is these oil debates are mostly pointless. Stick with a quality brand, stay with the manufactures spec and weight, change at manufacturer recommended intervals...
Worry less, drive more.
^ This.Comparing a toyota economy sedan to a performance engine that has entirely different requirements is not even apples to apples.
I agree with you. A Toyota Avalon engine is not the same thing as a 5.0 Coyote or 2.3 EcoBoost.^ This.
A DD family sedan's oil requirements are going to be a lot different than a performance vehicle, especially one that has its tach reach the limit a lot.
