I didn't say it wasn't fast its just not that special. It's just a Mustang, nice car yes but really nothing special.I personally love the redesign and think its great which is why I bought one.Hmmm so a 435/400 car that runs 12's, has a 0-60 of about 4 seconds isn't fast? All for 40k? That's pretty good. I'm not acting like I'm driving a ferarri or a lambo, I'm just not acting like my 200 horsepower rice can is fast. ALMOST anything on the road I will beat and look good doing it.
Now this is of course my GT.
If you're in the eco, I could understand why you think that.
ALSO, if these imports are so great and fast. Why do YOU own a MUSTANG, not an Si or s2000. Simply because they are slow and you will be seen as a classic "ricer" driving it. There's no argument to it.
I don't think Hondas are crap due to bias. I actually have owned a couple and driven several more. Got sick of breaking down all the time in a POS slow ride.smh....not many unbiased genuine car enthusiasts to be found here
The username Vtec didn't tip you off to that bias already?I don't think Hondas are crap due to bias. I actually have owned a couple and driven several more. Got sick of breaking down all the time in a POS slow ride.
I've owned a lot of 30 year old Fords and enjoyed it much more. Just drive and enjoy rather than fix all the time. Still slow, but at least you have some cubic inches to work with.
Well it's more special than any import, especially a civic. Not 5bro'ing it either. This is my first mustang, so it's quite special to me but I've been part of the mopar family for a while until this.I didn't say it wasn't fast its just not that special. Iam also realistic and realize its not that special. Also I have plenty of seat time in both so cut the 5bro crap and get over yourself.
You're the definition of 5.Bro and I'm not surprised this is your first Mustang. Your car isn't special. Now you know.Well it's more special than any import, especially a civic. Not 5bro'ing it either. This is my first mustang, so it's quite special to me but I've been part of the mopar family for a while until this.
Because that is their choice. Who are we to judge anyone? Someone who throws $10K into a GT with supercharger, tune, exhaust and suspension should've just saved their money and bought a GT350 right? Here's the problem, you can dump and dump money into any car, but why? Why start with 200hp and try to get a 10-11-12sec car rather than spend that money with better base to work from?
Because I like my Mustang too? It's possible to have a broad taste is cars. It's not a zero sum game. Having/liking a Honda does nothing to take away from my Fords? I also like my 1991 CRX Si. And my TDI Jetta. And my Fiesta ST. I liked my old Integra too. As well as my VW R32 and my VW GTI.ALSO, if these imports are so great and fast. Why do YOU own a MUSTANG, not an Si or s2000. I understand it isn't a financial decision. I've spent way more on Mustangs and parts than ever made sense from a financial standpoint. It's your money to do whatever you choose with.Because that is their choice. Who are we to judge anyone? Someone who throws $10K into a GT with supercharger, tune, exhaust and suspension should've just saved their money and bought a GT350 right?
I had a 2003 Evo, and put $15K into it and don't regret a thing. I always loved Mitsu Evos and when I had the opportunity to own one I didn't hesitate.
Just because you don't understand it or agree with it doesn't make it stupid.
Ehhh, I know you were going after someone else with this post, but I also drive a basic GT. I'm not out there saying this is the greatest car ever or anything like that. It's a relatively inexpensive car with decent performance. I like it.Guys talking shit on imports and saying it is the ricer mentality and then talking shit on other cars while driving a basic Mustang GT...
.
Defensive much? I never once used the word stupid.Because that is their choice. Who are we to judge anyone? Someone who throws $10K into a GT with supercharger, tune, exhaust and suspension should've just saved their money and bought a GT350 right?
