I noticed my android auto stopped working on my 23 mach 1. I've re-paired my phone, and re-installed the app, but the screen no longer mirrors.

Is there a known glitch or a fix for this?

Is your phone and SYNC up to date with their software updates?

I have a dedicated Samsung S9 on data, no active Google account, tucked in the console and plugged into USB with Bluetooth on.

Whenever Android Auto has an update that's not installed after X days it's stops working, by design. At first it's wonky, then just stops.

While I update that I also update Di.FM and Waze.....so it's all works out.

I really liked the integrated tunein and sim slot in my 2018 Volvo S60 - perfectly seamless.

This Sync Android marriage is a total failure. I've had over 100 glitches in 3 years thanks to Android Auto updates and poor sync stability.

You'd think these titans of industry and tech could make something so simple seamless like Chinese owned Volvo....no wonders everyone wants to block CN products to protect their incompetent domestics

I'm very close to installing Dynavin, but have a vert and not sure can handle the glare issue, though a matt screen protector might deal with it.

It's a sync 3 issue. Sync 4 has much much less issues although it still does. One of the hardest thing about getting used to this car was going backward from sync 4 to sync 3!

It was the cord. Google said to make sure you are using a Samsung cord, so I swapped it and now it works. 👍🏻

Yea I noticed Sync 4 was seamless in the Bronco Sport Badlands demo I had for a few days. The B&O was pretty good as well. Have to say I really liked this vehicle Ford aced the driving dynamics and performance.

Shame it's so noisy with sunroof open...

Might buy one for back roads when Ford gets real on moving the 47,000 units 2024 Nov inventory while introducing 2025 units. If it had another 50 HP and 30 tq I grab one now at current discounts. Lifted Focus platform was a great approach.

I assume sync 3 only does screen mirroring with cord plugged in correct?

Pick yourself up a Motorola MA1 Wireless Android Auto Car Adapter if you want to use Sync 3 and wifi.

If you have a Samsung phone that supports DeX, you can mirror your phone to Sync and play Youtube videos, etc. This can be done using an AutoPro X Android Auto Wireless Adapter. The adapter also supports wireless Android, like the Motorola MA1.

Disclaimer: I supported the Indiegogo campaign for the AutoPro X. It works, and does what it says. You can watch Youtube, Netflix, play games, etc. However, I'd warn you that it's mostly something you use while parked. Trying to swap apps, split screen navigation w/ your video, etc are a bit much to do while driving. Basic controls like fast-forward to next video do work, but it's not really a great experience unless you have a playlist. With DeX, your phone basically projects a laptop screen to the Sync, and the phone comes a mousepad where you can move the mouse around. You also have touchscreen on the Sync screen.

Good quality cable or the Motorola MA-1 for wireless have been very stable when used daily with my Pixel 6 Pro with Sync 3. Took the Cyan update about 12 months ago and is noticeably quicker to connect.

Thanks. Ill look into the Motorala adapter.

As for the rest, I have no desire for games and Netflix. I mainly just use Android auto for Waze and music. It would be nice not to have to plugin like every other new car on the market. 🙄

Try a factory reset on the radio.
