Does anyone have information on @Anderson Composites developing a carbon fiber heat extractor for the hood?

Seems like a high volume piece for GT500 owners, and I certainly would be in line for one.

The hood vent will only be available as a Ford Performance part, not from Anderson.

interesting as they had it on display at SEMA, which means they have the forms and are capable of creating it.

@Anderson Composites if you can make a limited run of these, please let us know. I’m in!

I heard this early on as well, but I don't think it's available yet. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

For some reason I have a $799 price tag in my head.

You are correct, they made it, but it will only be a Ford licencedpart. I can't remember all of them, but this and a I believe the rear valance, will be only available via Ford Performance.

I can't speak on the price, but I do know it has not yet been released.

A bit of advice, don't sell your OEM parts. When it comes time to sell the car, you either put it back to stock and sell the parts, or sell the car with the parts and loose all that money.

Aftermarket mods never seem to increase the car value

C'mon Tom, you know I don't want to ever sell my car.

If I can find someone that wants my OEM parts for their Mustang, that'll heavily contribute to the mods themselves and it's almost a wash at that point. For instance, I knew someone that wanted my OEM wheels on my SS for a project car, and they were going to give me 4k for the wheels and tires, when the aftermarket set I wanted at the time was 5k combined.

The money gets "lost" one way or the other, just a matter of when and how.

And I never intend to sell any of mine either.... oops, one was just traded in.

So there you go.

If you don't need the money to put food on the table, don't sell your OEM parts that you replace with aftermarket.

So would FP or Anderson be the venue to follow for news relating to the vent's release date?
