Has anyone successfully filed a suit against Anarchy Motive? Does anyone have any claims they have successfully received from Anarchy Motive? I know some folks have had gripes about him but I believe I am at the point where someone needs to step in and address the issues of an abusive use of estimated production times. He is under the impression that a 10+ week lead time notification allows him to deliver whenever he feels is appropriate. I get supply chain issues but there are BBB complaints showing 10+ equates to 20+ weeks in reality.

If anyone can contribute without bashing the vendor (yes I have some really personal feelings about this situation), I would appreciate it. My intention is legal action and potential investigation to his business practices.

There was a whole thread about him here I believe with people saying they were waiting for months.

You'll find similar threads on EVERY car forum.

Year waits, if you even get your product. I had a few of his shift knobs, holy fuck was it sketch and 9 months for the first iirc, and over a year for the other.

Lots of lies, stalling, and BS.

Surprised there hasnt been a class action against him.

It was heading that direction. It's a minimal amount of money that he retained but I am certain I'm not the first nor the last. He did finally refund my money completely when my lawyer asked his address to serve him.

I have left a complaint with the Texas attorney General. It has been advised that any future issues be directed to the St Peter's PD as this can potentially be considered fraud. Continuous complaints to the local PD should start an investigation. No idea if that is what will actually happen, it is what has been advised to me.

That's a company name I haven't heard in a long time....the owner of Anarachy Motive got dragged pretty bad a few years ago on the NASIOC (Subaru) forums.

There's a good number of threads about him over on NASIOC. Some of them pretty recent too.

Speaking of Subarus have you seen the guy in Colorado Springs who straight up stole engines out of customer cars and jumped town! Think it was 10-20 cars that he completely tore apart then left. Some dude went to the shop to check on his car after he couldn’t reach the guy on the phone… found his car sitting as a bare shell.

I ordered a knob from him back in early August. Still waiting...
I sent him a polite email in December and he responded pretty quick.

I looked around; there's a lot of complaints about him... but he seems to respond and comment on many of them.

I dont think he's a con artist, I think he's just way overbooked and in over his head and doesn't wanna be transparent about it;

And I think when people complain, he's vindictive and takes it personally and moves them back to the bottom of his waiting list.

I've decided to just be patient and wait it out. If I don't get my knob by August I'll send him another email and I'll be as nice as possible. I've come to the conclusion that flipping out on him and demanding my money back isn't going to get me anywhere.

If I had to do it over again I'd probably go a different direction, but I didn't see all the complaints till after I placed the order

I did see that. Saw it as a post on a Facebook car group. Reminded me of a similar situation that happened in 2019 with Growler Motor Labs in Plano, Texas (formerly Cobb Plano). The owner also bolted, but in this instance, simply pushed unfinished customer cars outside, where stuff was stolen.

I started that way but to be honest, it stopped adding up. I have absolutely no idea why it would take him 8 months to do your knob. I honestly would not be surprised if most of his income comes from canceled orders. Push things as ridiculous as possible and finally decide to produce something.

In my opinion, his production times should say 26+ weeks. It's more realistic as to what he is doing. He knows he will lose business that way though.

Yeaaa I'm with ya man.

He's got that clever little 25% return clause on his site; so the most ill get back is what, $30?
Might as well just wait it out and get what I paid for.
Maybe I'll just order one from WM Garage; put theirs in my car and consider his a backup for down the road.... Then send him a nice polite "how's my knob coming along?" email every friggin Monday until he sends me the damn thing...

Hahaha... My order was $125. He sent me $31 as a refund. I did ask if he could send me a picture of the work he has completed. That way if he at least started, I could say he started. Wouldn't provide a picture or evidence he even started any work. That is when I canceled. I can no longer take action because he gave me a full refund but hopefully if someone finds this thread, they can find they have options.
