Regardless, why does it matter? Some of you (not saying you, Todd15Fastback) were sitting here thinking I would sink into so much major financial distress just because of my age and/or how much I made if I had ever signed my name on a 2015 Mustang. Look at me now---- 19 years old, driving a 2015 Mustang, and have more money than I ever had before. Don't shoot people's dreams down because they can come right back and show you they can make it happen. I had full faith in myself whenever I made the decision to purchase my vehicle. That's all you need.
It doesn't matter to me. Again, you posted these questions on an open, public forum.

You didn't have full faith in yourself to purchase a Mustang. Why you ask? Because of the thread I shared earlier. You asked folks on a car forum for advice and opinion on what to do with the Kia or whatever car it was. If you had "full faith in yourself" you would not solicit such advice and opinion from folks you don't even know.

Anyway. Enjoy your Mustang.

You don't have money. You dont pay for your lifestyle. You don't have a full time job or full time income. Those are the facts.
Don't let your ego rights checks you can't cash. Enjoy the mustang but I would advise you not to talk yourself up. You have not accomplished anything yet.

I know people that have accomplished more at 20 than I have at 26. Don't be so quick to judge people.

Buy a used 2015 convertible that way you don't take such a Hugh depreciation on both cars.

Smart move.

Next time work on your negotiating skills and look at dealers farther away. Florida is an MSRP rape fest.

Its just my opinion but you really overpaid for that V6 in the first place.
$26,400 is over 3 grand more than what I paid for my turbo.
I agree, I paid $23,750 for mine and I have the 051A package with A/T. I think this was your first car purchase if I'm not mistaken, so it's understandable but next time I'm sure you'll get a better deal :ford::ford::ford:

You are making the right decision by not purchasing again. I also wanted to say that even though you may get some harsh criticisms here on the forum you did the right thing listening to those that have been there before and those that don't want you digging a bigger hole of debt to get out of. There are a lot of irresponsible youth out there that would just do whatever and not take the advice of those more knowledgeable. Listen to the voice of experience here on the site, you made the right call.

My advice, like others have mentioned, is to do little things to your car that gets your interest back in it. Do some small appearance mods, do some small performance mods and get to know your car. Hand wash it weekly, do all the oil changes yourself, go on a road trip with it. BOND with it. You'll be glad you did and you won't have any buyers remorse or regret. And if you want open air driving, buy a bike and ride or find a cheap motorcycle to get your open air fix. Best of luck. :)

This is when its better to lease. If after 3 years you don't like what you have then you have that option.

So true! Or if you need that lower payment for awhile, then you can buy it out at the end..

Glad to hear you have some cash flow, OP. It goes against conventional thinking, but that is not the time to spend. When the cash flows, set some aside for the proverbial "rainy day." And make setting it aside a habit. Over the course of a lifetime income will fluctuate. There's nothing more freeing than being impervious to those fluctuations. Picture yourself 5 years down the road. Set goals. Put aside the dough so you can achieve those goals. These habits and lessons are best learned at a young age. Remember the adage - old habits are hard to break.

You're going to pay 32k for a v6 convertible? is this real life? You can get a 5.0 premium for that much in VA. Plus you overpaid for your v6 and I'm not going to blame your age because at 20 I purchased a 2013 5.0 premium new for 28.5k OTD, it's called research, patience, and finding both a good deal and being a good negotiator, or finding a delaership that wants to get rid of a car OR x-plan.

You live and learn, I wish my mother would co-sign and pay for my insurance lol I had to do it all big boy style from the get-go so when police officers or people thought daddy paid for my car it really boiled my blood.

aren't you the kid with the soul who basically had to claw his way into that v6 mustang...and now you want out?!
Yes. As we can all see, this financial advice has really taken hold, and his modality of thinking is far from where it was. Now he wants us to waste more breath on his latest mind-change.
