As long as it's close it doesn't affect setting toe. When doing caster and camber I use a different garage where I spent quite a bit of time mapping out a spotting that was as level as I could possibly determine with out shooting levels on it. Works fine for my 66 Corvette, GTX and ERA Cobra. They all track dead straight, handle well and have great tire wear. If I were aligning for the race track I would go to a shop with an alignment table.

Back when I bought my 03 Lightning I suspected it was not aligned correctly at the factory so I put my camber gage on it and it was out quite a bit from what I could tell and uneven from side to side. I took it down to the dealer and told the service manager the Truck wasn't aligned properly - I had checked it with my own gage and it was out. He gave me that - sure you did you dumbass - look. But since it was brand new and to get rid of me he said he would have them check it. A little while later he came in and sort of sheepishly said - Well, it was out of spec and we even had to install a camber kit to get in in spec. I probably did my best not to grin. :D
