Alch Learn Flag, when does it go to 1?

On my second tank of E85 and my learn flag still remains at 0. Granted I did not sit and idle at 3k rpm. I just drove lightly till the % calmed at around 78.8%. I figured it should change over to 1 at some point or am I doing it wrong?

Should set around 10-15 miles at most. Really depends on how accurate your fuel trims are.

Damn, well I guess it might be time to switch to that 18 stock intake with a drop in filter and get a revised flex tune.

Easiest way to get it to set is to go for a drive where you can keep a steady throttle for longer periods of time. That should set it fairly quick. I wasn't a huge fan of the FF tune. Better off just getting a 93 and a E85R tune and being done with it. As long as you wait until 1/8 tank or so to switch you should be fine.

Yeah, not sure if my fuel trims are tight enough. The only thing I could think of throwing it off is the 120 mm JLT. Checked all my hoses this morning and everything looks good. Sounds like it may be time to datalog again.

If you've changed anything in the air pathways since you got the flex tune revised it will 100% be off and not learn right at all.

Nothing has changed since I was tuned for this exact setup.

How would I be able to determine that? Something that I can see via Ngauge or Torque or through data logging? I've gotten various alch% differences on tanks of E85 so I believe it's doing what it should there. I've driven about 75 miles now on this tank and still no change on the alch flag.

That I’m not too sure about- I’m mostly a newbie myself. From your signature, it appears you have Lund tunes; you might want to post on their facebook support page- lots of very helpful people with a deep pool of knowledge.

Yup, I just did not long ago. Getting some responses already. I flashed my E85R tune on and just reflashed back on the flex tune to start the relearn over again. I personally think it's my fuel trims. My car only has 12,350 miles on it, about 9k tuned with headers so I think my O2's are fine. Only my 4th tank of E85 since I got the flex tune, but I'm on my second tank of E85 since the last swap from 93 octane.

Agreed, it seems like way too quickly to have issues. However, just watching this YouTube vid from Zander13 he discusses the issue and he is only on his 3rd tank of corn and claims to be having issues with his o2 sensor(s) already. Food for thought.
As an aside, I have the same 2 tunes from Lund and have been running E85 for the last few tanks, but have no other mods, completely stock except the tune, and it has been a flawless experience.

It usually sets after 10-15 miles. I find that driving on the highway around 70 for 5-10 minutes works best. I did have an issue where it never set and Brandon sent me a revision. I also have a jlt and 18 manifold.
