I read these tires are only so so in the wet, other than that, amazing in the dry.
If bad in wet, I would look for a high performance tire that serves every aspect of
performance driving. Cheap won't be apart of the formula to replace tires.

If the Michelins perform decent in the wet, then that will be the replacement tire.

Let us know when you find a better all around high performance tire than the Super Sport.

This car was speced with Michelin Supersports for a reason.. they were developed in conjunction with Ford ...period. Just like the C7 and Z06 Vettes Chevy and Ford have reached out to Michelin to build tires specific to "their" cars. Having different tire compounds could drastically reduce handling performance. I tried Dunlops that were equivalent to the Michelin on paper , they were good but NO where as good as the Michelin SuperSports.
Currently my STi, came stock with Dunlops, I had my doubts, but with the all wheel drive system, the slightly harder compound works great on the street and in the canyons.
Once I get my GT350, it will ALWAYS have the Michelin SS.

The bigger problem may be finding the correct staggered 19"sizes. A quick search did not find many options for either the 295/35 with 305/35 or the 305/30 with 315/30 for the R. More options if you go with a 20" but then will they fit or do you dare go with a square setup? What will they cost if you have to buy the "special" PSS from Ford.

Interesting that the PSS have a 30,000 mile warranty when they come as OEM equipment, but that is cut in half when the front and rear are different sizes.

Mileage warranties apply to tires that come as original equipment on model year 2011 and later vehicles. Some vehicles come from the vehicle manufacturer with “split fitments”— meaning different size tires on the front and rear axles. Because these tires cannot be rotated as recommended by Michelin, the mileage warranty on each rear tire will cover half the number of miles as the standard mileage warranty for that particular tire design.

I am hoping no issue in wet, because I would run exactly
what was put on it. replace with the same, when needed.

I believe I said that a few posts before. If they were bad in the wet, I would look at options, when the time comes. I will likely only drive 3000-4000 miles a year and mostly in the dry.
But if on road trip and it rains, I want tires the work well.

If great in rain, bonus.

If you're considering replacing the Michelins that come on the 350 with basically any other street tire, you're going the be disappointed. Yes, they are expensive, but that's because they're THE best ultra-high-performance streer tire you can buy.

I have Pilot Super Sports on my Bullitt and now that I've seen how much of a difference they've made, I wouldnt consider anything else.

And tread wear on them is pretty good. I'm sure they won't last as long as the Michelin Pilot AS Plus that I had before, but you won't be buying new tires every year unless youre constantly tracking the car, or laying down huge burnouts all the time.

If making your GT350 significantly worse to save a few bucks sounds like a good plan, maybe the GT350 isn't the car for you...

Yeah I agree with this. When I was shopping for tires I read a lot of reviews on Tire Rack from a lot of different people and I ended up feeling secure that I was getting great tires. I was really happy after using the Pilot SS tires for a while. Excellent summer use tire for spirited everyday driving.

Considering the Z/28 comes with 19x11/19x11.5 wheels and 305/30-19 tires, I was faced with the same issue as the Trofeos are $500 each and last 5000 miles with daily street use.

I went with a square 20" x 10.5" setup using 285/35/20 MPSS tires which are 2" larger diameter than stock. The speedometer is off by 4 mph at 75 mph but the car has 1" more ground clearance which helps with everyday driving and the narrower 285 wide tires drives much better than the 305/30-19 front tires that tramlined terribly and had a very rough ride. The Trofeos are on the rack in my garage for track days and the PSS rule the streets.

Since the car is setup for staggered tire sizes, switching to square will cause more tendency to oversteer.
