Once i get my CO GT delivered ( EDD June 1st ) i am bringing it to a detailer for tinting. He recommends i clear coat the paint with a ceramic type product. Cost is 695 for my GT. The price can go up depending on the level of protection i want. Anyone have experience, knowledge of this? Is it a waste of money? I am enclosing the link to his product. Thanks

I have a CO convertible and I can tell you it shows every spec of dirt when it's in the sun. I am going to get a similar detail regimen including the iron removal, clay bar, paint correction, polish and Opticoat. I have seen cars finished with this process and they look amazing. There are a lot of claimed benefits of Opticoat and even if only half of them are true it's worth it to me.

I have a different product - 22PLE on my S550, but I checked around and found very strong support for Opticoat from multiple high-end detailers in the Seattle area. I'm sure you'll be happy with it.

$695 is pretty reasonable assuming their "primer polish" step is going to remove most of the minor imperfections on the car.

I recently purchased a portercable and all the products necessary to tackle my tuxedo black explorer.. should be fun.
