It seems that the door and fender are rubbing. Resulting in an inch long knick in the paint. I thought this wouldn't be a problem...called the dealership and we told its my fault and not under warranty. Called the GM. He told me to "fuck off" and hung up on me twice. What should I do? I pay 40grand on a car. Two days later the paint is chipped. Then the dealer I went to tells to fuck off. Not their problem...wtf.

Edit. Doors open in first post.

PM FordService on the forum, they will help, they are an actual ford customer service rep. They have helped with other issues.

Holy cow. Did they use that type of language?

I am amazed daily at some of these horror stories with dealerships.

As the other poster said, PM FordService.

Can you actually see/feel the door hit the fender when you open it and close it? That's horrible. Take it to another dealer and punch the GM of your previous dealer in the mouth.

Yes. It's not every time. But it's happening enough that over the course of two days and the door being opened maybe 15 times total that it's chipping.

Pm sent to ford services! Thanks guys! Upon closer inspection, the door seems to be sitting higher up then the fender. About an eighth of an inch.

It's hard for me to imagine, "F. Off" from a GM who just sold a 40k car. Especially since this is a pretty cheap fix to keep happy a customer who might buy other cars in the future.

If I were to ask the GM what YOU said to (in his view) deserve such a response, What would he say? And did he actually use that verbiage?

I'm not calling you a liar but, like flak said, it seems there might be details left out. Care to share more?

When it's light out I'm gonna document everything wrong with it. Then bring it to service and get it all figured out.

I had a similar issue with my 2005 F150 FX4. The local dealership told me to pound sand and after i left the a worker from the dealership called me and told me to call the Ford 1-800 number in my owners manual and let Ford know about my issue. Ford stepped in and after 24hrs of investigation Ford made everything right.

I would call Ford.

I already PM'd FordService and they replied back so that's a positive. my friend drives a 2014 GT and he had the exact same problem, and like you said, the dealer said go pound sand....WTF

OK...which dealer is this? Second, call Ford and tell them about this dealership and how they treated you and tell them about your issue. You'll have resolution within a few days guaranteed especially if you are telling the truth about the GM saying those words (I would remind you to make sure you aren't inflating the story on here and those are the exact words he said to you).
