Does anyone know if the interior door panel needs to come off to have the door adjusted? We're they able to get the door aligned and put back together without issue of introducing new problems?

I'm looking to have my driver's side door adjusted by a body shop as the rear of the door hangs a little low and the lower front is slightly out. However, everything closes tightly and the interior is solid. Just a little nervous to have them work on the car if it might introduce rattles, etc.

Well the dealer is taking it to the body shop under warranty... Just don't want to introduce any rattles from things loosening.

I remember my wife's last Ford Edge. I always thought it was in a wreck or something because of alignment issues like on the mustang. I knew it couldn't given we picked it up with no miles. It all adds up now.

All this talk of panel gaps and doors rubbing on the bodywork is a bit worrying.

Sounds like British Leyland from the 70s. Surely everyone who builds cars nowadays should know how to put them together properly.

I bought my current daily back in '98 and there are still no squeaks or rattles so if they could do it then surely they should be better now.

Had a 2000 Mercury Marquis and that was fine. Just getting worried as the Mustang is the first new Ford I have ever ordered and will be the first one I've owned that wasn't built in the UK/Germany/Canada.

Mine has some. But I think it's minor issue. Shouldn't be there, but I don't consider it a deal breaker. Now if it causes issue, (like the above posted) paint rubbing I would take it back to be corrected.

In the scheme of things, the alignment is not the most noticeable unless looking critically at the car. But I think I'll at least have it looked at.
