Sheesh! Sounds like a terrible experience. My car is in now to have the rear bumper cover and hood/driver side fender adjusted. Here is how my interaction with dealer went:

Stopped by their shop on Saturday 3/5. They said it would be fixed under warranty and asked that I call Monday. Called yesterday and agreed to drop car off last night after work. They gave me a loaner (junk, but it got me home) and said it would be done today.

My rear trunk lid is also not aligned properly but I have not had the chance to look at it yet. From the way the rear glossy plastic panel is curved, I think the trunk lid sit too low from the factory which is causing the whole paint rubbing on plastic issue.
The trunk latch on the body side needs to be raised a little bit. Pretty common issue on the S550.

Update.

It took about two weeks but the dealership got the job done, the paint match Is good but not great, at least my car doesn't look two-tone or out of place, they matched the pony to my front emblem In flat black, I'll post pictures later.

However...

Two Issues followed after receiving the car back..

1* My gas cap doesn't sit flush, I can rock It back and forth even with It clicked in, the lever or arm will most likely have to dissassembled and adjusted, hopefully not replaced.

2* My back window glass Is slightly lower on the left than on the right, looking at It I thought I was crazy but It was a noticeable gap if you're looking for It that I never noticed until now It's not crazy but I will bring It up to them when I bring the car back to them on Monday.

Very common issue with all S550 Mustangs - and it varies all over the place from no difference between the corners to a lot where anyone looking at the car from the rear might spot it.

If it's not really too bad, most people just forget about it and live with it. The rear window needs to come out to make the fix of course.

Oh wow. Even a Viper has that shitty fitment.
My Toyota has perfect fitment. The mustang, not so much. There is a reason why Lexus costs 45k for a 300hp coupe.
Corvettes are the same too.

I work with various manufacturers on a daily basis and I can tell you first hand that I see more Toyotas (Lexus, same crap), Hondas, and Nissans with inconsistent/poor panel gaps than all American and German models combined. That's across ALL models, not just models with unique lines like the Mustang/Camaro/370Z/SLS, etc. This is not an issue that only affects brands from a specific country lol, it's entirely related to the body design.

You can't compare a sport car like the Mustang to a box on wheels like a Corolla. It's a completely inaccurate comparison; ray charles could assemble a Corolla and make the body panels fit half decent. And Corolla buyers wouldn't care either way; they are looking for a cheap piece of shit to drive, nothing more.

I'm aware the back glass Is just common It's just a small nit picky thing, I guess we become too privileged with wanting our NEW car to be just that and not have these silly issues / QC.

The gas cap wasn't like that before I dropped It off because I put gas In It, but they said It should be a quick fix If any and I have an appointment for Monday.

If any of you guys are having these Issues with panel fitment etc, If the paint rubbed already the dealership will tell you like they told me. Ford hardly ever accepts warranty claim to touch-up or repaint small areas, you're better off getting pictures submitted so they'll replace the entire part In question.. As they did for my bumper.

It seems a lot of the hardware used to keep the bumper covers In place/flush are just faulty or not Installed correctly from factory.
