Hi all. I have a ford touring axle back and a Cobb tune on my car. I am interested, to put it mildly, to add the mrt turbo back kit. My main question is: how feasible would it be for me to buy the mrt kit without their muffler/tailpipe so I could add my existing axle back to it?

I would just buy their downpipe and create your own (have an exhaust shop) center resonator delete. All it consists of is a y-pipe leading to the mid exhaust pipes. An exhaust shop would probably charge around $200 to get it done. A whole hell of a lot cheaper then buying their kit.

Hey Frogger, this is exactly why we have 3 stages of exhaust for the EB Stang! Check out our stage 1 and stage 2 kits, it sounds like to me that it is what you are looking for:

Hey guys, thanks for the information. I'm wondering, are you guys putting together sound clips for these? I live nearby, but if you guys are posting a video soon, I'd rather just listen to that first.

LM, I may interested in getting your noncatted stage 2. Couple of questions, what is the performance difference between a stage 2 catted vs noncatted, like hp/tq? Also what is your race dump option? What are the performance specs hp/tq with it dumped vs having a stage 2 noncat? Can I buy the dump option after I buy the stage 2 concat without eating money? Finally are you sure your mid pipes will line up correctly with my ford racing axle backs?

Thanks for the interest firstly. Our race catted VS noncatted is only a 1-3HP difference. Our race dump option is a modular connection between the downpipe and midpipe that allows for an extremely simple and quick way to eliminate the exhaust from the downpipe aft. When it comes to race dump VS any of the exhaust stages, the biggest gains are going to be the fact that you are shedding 65-70LBS. But, as for HP gain VS the stage 2 exhaust system it is around 10WHP. Yes, you can buy the race dump separately. And we are POSITIVE that and FRD produced catback will bolt up to our exhaust products!

I know that the weather is kinda poopy (for lack of a more colorful term) but you really should come by and take a tour of the shop and checkout the exhaust sound in person!

Helpful and concise answers. Thank you. You said you guarantee your stage 2 rig will work with my ford racing catback. To be clear, I was asking if your stage 2 rig would fit my ford racing axle back. Big diff.

Ford racing touring axle backs are posted on youtube. Cj pony parts. I don't know if any of them include aftermarket cat backs. The ones I saw were on stock pipes

I talked to my muffler guy today. I asked him to estimate the cost to connect a down pipe i purchased to my ford racing touring axle backs. He said 2k because of the hours to do the custom work. That's a hell of a lot more than LM is charging.

Said the hours to bend the pipes would take 15 to 20 hours
