The GT I'm going to sign papers on has the factory active exhaust. Can that be replaced with a non active exhaust ? Wondering if doing so might cause issues in the ECU or a BCM.

Yes it can. May I ask why??? But you can tie up your exhaust valve actuators and leave them plugged in so you dont get any faults if you do replace with a non active

Yes, you can. However, personally speaking, I’ve yet to hear an aftermarket exhaust that truly/unarguably sounds better than the stock AE in Track mode, and certainly not worth spending money on - however, this is subjective.

I would also ask why. This was a must have option for me and I love it. If you’re looking for louder just go with a H or X pipe.

I have it. Don't mess with it, it's awesome.

There was an S197 with a really good sounding AM exhaust on the freeway to work. We did the V8 trumpeting back and forth, big grins and thumbs up all around.

Good times. Good times.

Cold start is an issue for me. I have hearing issues. I had to wear shooters muffs when starting the GT350 and the Bullitt. Done with that ordeal !

But that's exactly why you want Active Exhaust. You can preset in the menu to start in quiet mode. And it is quiet. Try it before making any changes.
