There was a post awhile back regarding setting the parameters so that you can lock the active exhaust to a particular mode (Sport, Track) regardless of drive mode. PCMtech has more parameters than HP tuners.

There are 10 tables related to quiet mode, normal mode, sport mode, track mode. That covers 4. What are the rest? The value 1 is 100% open. 0 is closed.

There are a couple of other parameters that need adjusting for this. Has anyone been able to nail this down?

I'm going from memory here. There are ten tables that specify exhaust valve opening percentage based on accelerator position vs RPM (0.00 fully closed and 1.00 is fully opened, anything else is between those two values). Then, there is a table that specifies which of these tables is used based on current drive mode and transmission gear. The reason for ten tables is that the programming is used on vehicles other than Mustang and they have their own unique drive modes probably like F-150. To fix the exhaust position regardless of drive mode you would change all the parameters in the active exhaust drive mode selection table to point to the AE position table of your choice.

I figured it was a generic set of tables that spanned different models. I believe you dont touch 9 and 10.

You'll have to trial and error test this as the logic that maps each map to each mode is very complex and appears to be generated code from simulink or something else that is not written by a human. As such each model/vehicle seems to use different tables for different modes depending on the as built data.

Thanks Roland. I posed a question in the PCMtech forum as to which table does what. 1 being quite. Do the remainder correspond to normal, sport and track? I have a 21 auto. What Im looking for always wide open in sport/sport plus and set normal to what standard track mode is as it currently exists
There's a table in HPT that tells you which table goes to which mode. 1-quiet 2-normal 3-sport etc etc etc. Maybe you can cross reference it to pcmtec

That references the tables 1 through whatever it ends at. I can't remember how many there are.

Quiet is table 1. Inside table 1 it accepts values 0-1.0. 0 being closed. 1.0 being fully open.

Looks to me like ECM43282 in post 8 crosses over to auF60775.

Im looking at my file in HP tuners. It shows what you have here. If I understand correctly, normal/wet uses table 6 for 1st and second, then 2 for 3rd then 5 for 4th thru 10th. Everything else uses a single table. Any idea what column 0 does? Its set to 2.
