Hi All,

I really would like to have my car always in track mode exhaust. Is there a way to always make it default to that? Thanks.

There is not unfortunately. You can only set it to start up in Quiet or Normal mode

I wonder if you disconnect the actuator plug if it will default to valve open or valve closed.

mymode just lets you customize the settings for the selection.

from the factory you cant start the car in track mode.

but i guess you could turn on the car, select track mode, then start the car?

buuut who wants to do that everytime?

I wish there was a knob like some of the aftermarket companies for the active exhaust instead of having to use the menu thing each time. I just flip the drive-mode switch some times but I don't want magnaride on all the time.

Maybe simpler to put an on/off switch on the power wire to the valves, Put the system in track mode and turn the switch off and the valves stay open, Flip the switch on when you want to change modes.

Just set a Mymode then rather then cycling through the toggles you just flip the toggle once upon start and it sets track mode. I had heard rumors of a tune coming to make it start in track mode, but idk about how true it is. Personally it doesnt bother me, my current exhaust setup is loud enough in normal and im not trying to draw that much attention to myself by having loud starts.

That would most likely disable the active exhaust modes totally...not sure where it would default too though.

I have been saving track exhaust on my mymode but sometimes it will go back to normal? So the car is programmed not to start in track mode? That sucks if its true.

Yes car will start in normal although the baffles are still completely open. If you switch off to refill gas or something for a short period of time it will stay in track or whichever mode you have it in. But after an extended period of off time it reverts to normal

Track mode decibel level is illegal in some locations. That is why Ford designed it to NOT be the default.
