People, if a dealer wants to remove your compressor, YOU HAVE TO MAKE SURE THEY REPLACE THE STUD BOLTS PER THE MANUAL.

I’ve posted the entire procedure in the GT350 Basics sticky.

I'll ask about it..it would be tempting to go buy titanium bolts for it, and a good anti-seize compound. Maybe I will do that anyhow. I replace many of the motorcycle bolts with titanium. They don't break or get rounds off. Just have to readjust the torque a bit and use a good compound.

You can ask them to follow Fords own repair manual. I would demand.

I wouldn’t do anything that would void my warranty. If you want to go w titanium studs, I would get Ford’s, not the dealer’s, written permission first.

Well they are still working on the cylinder block plate replacement. The new compressor was put in yesterday. I assume the plate will be put on today and I hope to get it back tomorrow.

Good Luck, hope all procedures are completed to your satisfaction!!!

Did you ask them about the stud bolts for the compressor? What did they say?

Here’s to you getting it back tomorrow

AC works now but the noise is still present. They did not change the block plate and the service manager said it was a heat shield above the resonators and that there was nothing he could do about it. Well that’s not acceptable, so I opened a case with Ford customer service and they either fix it or but it back. He actually said if I drive and hold the rpm at 4K it’s my fault...that I should just drive around it. Anyhow I found a 9114S with aero kit and other goodies I might go ahead and get. I gave it a try to support an American car company that told me my 62K car was going to go ppppppffffttt and live with it. I’m not living with it. And I’m not going to smear dynamatt on it.

Pretty sad. My car has been in the shop for over two weeks and they didn’t even give me a loaner. When I serviced my 911 they would give me a new Mecan or personality drive me home. And I have the 8yr premium care.

I love the car though and will deal with more of the trash customer service.

The cheapest 911 on their site is 97K. The cheapest Ford is $14,260. I'm just saying... let's be realistic on the "customer service" that should be expected. If I own a Ferrari, it better also include some side benefits too. use your imagination.

I will agree with you, it's trash.

Actually servicing my Ferrari isn’t much better, but I also avoid the dealer like the plague with it unless I have $1200 burning a hole in my pocket. I did get a Maserati quattroporte loaner once, but the other two times they droves me home. Otherwise diy if possible bc they want all the monies.

The place with the 911 offered me 45k. I’ll see if I can squeeze a bit more from him.

My AC died again today. This is the 5th time since March, 2016 when I purchased the vehicle. Dropping back off at Ted Britt Chantilly Monday morning. Sucks all the way around as I am leaving for Mustang Week on 30 August.

Mine is back at Koons falls church to hopefully get the revised cylinder black plate put on. If they don’t do it and I still have the 4K plastic bag noise, it’s buyback time.
