Why are you desperate? All signs point to continued building through 2020. Once dealers find them sitting on their lots, ADM's will begin to disappear. There's one in my hometown here in Canada with a 5K ADM. It's been sitting in the dealer showroom for over a month. Hang in there.

Because I need a car. I'm driving an old wagon that has alzheimers. I gave my nice car to my daughter and have been languishing in the wagon with all warning lights lit, no radio, and now a whiny transmission. I thought I could make it til the end of July and here we are in September.

Honestly, it comes down to what the car is worth to you. If you think it's worth 2k over to have the car now then go for it. Like Soton mentioned, if you're willing to travel and continue searching there's probably someone out there selling at MSRP. Just depends if the extra work is worth saving 2k to you. To some it might be, to others it might not. Do what makes you happy. Good luck!

Tickdoc,

I've also been searching for a Bullitt, for the last few months. I just can't see paying over MSRP, so for now i'll wait. Closest I've come is Don Vance Ford. I spoke with Tyler, and he was at 1.5k ADM.
This one has every option. If Tyler would've came back with MSRP, I would've made the 14 hour roundtrip drive last weekend. Good Luck! :like:

down to a grand on one from a dealer that has two at two deealerships. Waiting til noon for a msrp deal to be done. Means I'll have to buy the car sight unseen over the phone first, which would be a first for me, but I'm willing to take the risk on this one.

Just be sure to do a look over before you sign everything in person. I don't think I've bought a car off a lot in years, it's always been emails and I sit in it for the first time when I drive it off the lot. From experience, just do a good look over when you get there. It's not officially bought until you sign the paper work there.

With a little little luck and some great advice from the forum here I am finally set to pick up my bullitt tomorrow. Msrp. Fingers crossed as it is not a done deal yet. Not until my butt is in the seat and I am pulling away from the dealer. That means the one I have on order local could be up for grabs if and when it ever arrives, and it is also an Msrp deal, if any are still looking at that point. So pumped I’m gonna have a hard time sleeping tonight.

Congrats and good luck. Be sure to discuss out the door before taxes so they dont tack on some silly $1k documentation fee once you're there.

Bullitt success! Drove to Texas today and procured #1232. Quick and easy deal, awesome little dealership, but a scary ride home in rain as storms were brewing as I left. Probably the first bullitt owner to try the rain mode befor the sport+ mode.

I don’t think I can describe what a great car this is...so many thoughts swimming after the nearly 400 mile drive home. I have a whole list of pros and cons that I’ll detail later.

Am happy to say the least.

Special thanks to soton for suggesting autotrader. I just thought that was for used cars, and had no idea it could be used for searching available new cars. Turns out the dealer that I got mine from had just received and posted the car that day. They didn’t even have time to post a pic of it and just post d a stock mustang pic instead. I guess I can close this thread now that I did not have to pay adm when I was almost certain I was going to have to.

Taking my 84 yr old mom to watch her beloved college team play in it tomorrow. Should be fun.

Awesome and congrats! She looks beautiful so enjoy her and take care of her. Now we can start discussing paint protection :like:! Best of luck to Mom's team (unless they're playing South Carolina :))

Congrats!! So glad you didn't give up on the search and were willing to travel. These cars aren't impossible to get at MSRP, it just takes some hunting and usually a road trip. Looking forward to hearing more of your impressions. Have fun!

Nice job, getting for MSRP.

Congratulations. Glad you were able to get one at MSRP. Yes, it is not perfect, but then nothing is. Enjoy your Bullitt!! There are three Bullitts available in Vancouver that I can see. One has a $10,000 ADM, one has a $15,000 ADM and one is showing $1,000 below MSRP.

Just back from a little morning cruise, fill up and wash. Windows down early in the morning burbling through the neighborhoods is just such a cheap thrill.

First impression rants are few:

The biggest one is the front bumper. I’m fortunate enough to I’ve in a state with no inspections and no front plate, but I bought the car in Texas, and before they even listed it they screwed the front license plate mount through the bumper. I’ll need to find an elegant way to clean up the holes.

Little jiggle in the drivers door over rough surfaces. This is my first American car ever (I’m 47) and I expected some downgrade in build quality and nvh issues, but was hoping for the best. It’s a small quibble but there nonetheless. My 17 yr old bmw was tight as a tank and I’m used to that level of build quality.

Ford cruise control sucks. They use the same complicated system that I remember from my ā€˜77 econoline van or any truck/car for eons. Why do I have to turn it on first? Also, the angle of the buttons is funkily placed on the wheel. I find myself having to look for the on off consistenly. Just not a very intuitive design. I’m used to a stalk or a button that I push and the cruise is on. I’ve had linear systems and bump systems before but much prefer simple on off. Mercedes is easiest...pull forward to set push back to clear. Raise up to go fast and set, lower to reduce. Mitsubishi was my absolute favorite. Tiny stalk on steering wheel that was hyper responsive. You could use it like a gas pedal and speed up or slow down with what felt like full use of the throttle. Volvo on my wife’s xc90 is magical. Set and forget, it slows down to full panic stop automatically, lets you select your follow the car distance, and is damn smart.

Brights? I turned on the brights for the first time and was like, huh? Are there bights on this car? Fortunately the low beams are decent but you might as well not even put the brights on....they are so dismal that it is almost like the lights are dimmer. Weird.

Led mood lighting. I can appreciate the color wheel option. Neat. And highly functional for night driving if you need to find anything in the floorboard. I also like the way the door handle lights light up the passenger seat just enough to find something if there is no passenger.

Clutch feels great. Maybe a little high on engagement but I like the firmness of it and feel. Gas pedal seems a little high. I noticed my foot getting a little tired after a while if I didn’t have the cruise on.

Awesome seats. So glad I didn’t get the recaros . Hot summers and cold winters will make the heated/cooled seats a nice convenience.

The tires are awesome. I drove through three patches downpour and 80 mph Dallas construction bumper to bumper traffic with ease, even when the surfaces was filled with water.

Time for tint and I guess I should explore paint protection.

Does anybody wax anymore? Having mostly German cars, I always liked zymol and don’t mind spending a couple of hours waxing to get a slick finish. It seems like it is ceramic domination regarding paint shine these days. Maybe I need to look up Matt’s video on the subject. Any opinions there are appreciated.

Rant over...I love the car. Any of those bitchy items mentioned immediately disappear when you get back to driving....hearing that roar and feeling that power just induces miles of smiles :)

I love this car.

Tough luck on the front bumper. We have fronts plates here in BC, but managed to stop the dealer drilling the bumper. Installed a SHO N STO.

While build quality on NA cars has improved, if you compare to German Build Quality, you will still be disappointed.

I agree on the Cruise control. Mu Jetta has it on a separate stalk Much easier to operate.....

I still wax. My Bullitt is not a daily driver, and won't be driven in winter conditions, so chose not to go with a coating...

Lights. My understanding is HID's are brighter than LED's I guess that is why on high end cards they have multiple LED bulbs for the head lights.....

The Bullitt gives me more smiles per mile than any other car I have owned...……

Enjoy...…...

I agree on the Cruise control.. My
