Wifes 2018 GT ,getting worse, in the dealership today. Just got back to me said it might be internal. I was hoping for just a software update? Car has a little over 20000 miles on it. Think it was an early build. Had it since December 2017. Women are crazy, im telling u she would have drove it like that till the tranny fell out!!! Will keep u updated.

Just had the transmission replaced for my 18 GT. They said mine had metal in the pan, and that was at 11K. The replacement did not fix the issue. The car is going back to the dealership tomorrow. What axle ratio does it have?

My wife's 10spd is acting in a similar manner. Sometimes it will bump on downshifts from 3 to 1, and the same when shifting into D from P. I know it won't do the deed for the service tech, but I'k gonna take it in and talk with them.

I had the same issue, dealer said trans was 2 qts low on fluid from the factory

Car has the 3:15 rear in it. Picked it up today. Said they did a software update. Been driving it around. Night and day difference. May have lucked out, hope so!

Could you please post the service ticket describing the software update? I’ll be taking mine in soon and it would be nice to have that info.

My 2018 EcoBoost started doing this with around 8000 miles. Took it to the dealer with 11000 on it and they say the transmission computer has the latest software. They called the Ford tech line with no suggestions from them. It was shifting into reverse so hard it felt like someone ran into the car. How is this not a problem that Ford knows about? Any other suggestions that anyone has had done?
