My A10 works pretty good most of the time, however occasionally as I manually downshift it seems slow and then will thump into gear as I am accelerating.
It sounds /feels damn harsh.
I haven’t had my oil level checked yet, but can’t find anything on forum about the harsh engagement / thumping into gear.

Btw, this only Happens occasionally, say once every 2 or 3 drives.

Any ideas?

There are a ton of threads about the harsh engagement of the 10r80. I'm not sure how many of them deal with the paddle shifting. I just took my car into the dealership for some clunky shifting. They added a small amount of fluid and reset the learning tables. It seems better but I haven't put on enough miles yet to tell. You might want to get yours checked out as well - is it still under warranty?

Pretty common and has just kind of turned into a characteristic of this application. The dealers will check fluid, reset the kam and maybe check for updates but there’s not much you can do. I gave up on my dealer, tried the ford performance tune, helped a little but still bangs the shifts a lot. I finally decided to trade for the manual.

Seems like it's normal on downshifts. We all experience this at some point. Mine is a 2019 with 9,000 miles. I've rarely heard any clunking though and it's quite smooth in D (no harshness at all). But, in manual mode I kinda expect some harshness from a 10 speed 5.0. I'll take it in to have the fluid checked before the warranty expires, but I've come to accept it for the most part.
