I do not have this problem because I NEVER ORDER A CAR.

Too many other things to worry about in this world then when a stupid car is coming :frusty: I search the lots and make my choice from what they got :headbang: Sorta like Chasing Classic Cars but I'm chasing my new car  Everything is negotiable :ford:

The only thing I've found negotiable with dealers that have 350s on the lot is if I want to be bent over or laying down.......

Just can't get enuff!
Guys I know it must be quite frustrating... even though mine didn't sit over cold or snowy months, I feel or share your pain. Many or all of us with 2015's have waited around 90 days from the time it was produced at FRAP to the time it finally left FRAP. Some with R's even have to wait much longer. In the end everyone including the dealers and the FP team are at the mercy of FRAP's actions... not much we can do really. Just wear your perseverance hat longer... keep calm and chive on. ;)

I also went through periodic stages of vexation. Every time though I just envisioned how both nerve wracking and exciting.... and how fun this chase is/was. Look at it as a whole and focus on the positives. Once you have your car... I can't put into words how amazing and titillating it is to own and drive! :D

So maybe Ford read my message or something because my dealer just texted me that my Shelby is being built this week.

I can live with the wait, I won't be happy if it see's salt.
Water, snow, ice, not concerned about that.
I don't want salt on this car.
Rail, no salt, hopefully their yard no salt.
I am told enclosed from rail to dealer, we will see.
I also have an enclosed trailer to get it home.
I live 10 minutes from the dealer.

Highly doubt your letter pushed up your build... Most likely coincidence and trial of patience.

Herein lies the majority of your problem. Dealer should've never said 6-8 weeks when Ford specifically said "available late fall 2015".

As for covering the cars for delivery, I can find fault with Ford with that.

I ordered my R 06/14 via Ford invite... I'm lucky to get one... Even more lucky at MSRP. It's a 2016... That's when I expected to see it. The dealer I'm shipping thru said we will let you know when we know something... Yeah, they don't know. I'm still good with it cause I'm concentrating on the priorities of life and patient as Job with this car.

Might I suggest a good game of chess in the interim?
May I ask how long did you wait for your boss or shelby if you bought them new through a order?

Say you go to the store with $1 in your hand and there is a 1lb back of potatoes that are $1. There is also a 1.5lb bag of potatoes and it's also $1. Which one do you get? Most people get the 1.5lb bag, not because they are greedy but because it's the sensible thing to do. So the ADM thing is reversed but it doesn't make it any different. People get what they can for what they have. Not many successful business models in this country thrive on selling things for less than they can get for them.

It's only called greed because we happen to know what the dealer pays for them - if we didn't know and the dealers came up with their own prices, we would never be the wiser.

This x1,000,000. :amen:

If these dealerships are seeing a buyer market that indicates an added markup is acceptable and competitive, what business case could they make not to add it?

Future business. I spent 112,000k not counting the Shelby this year at Ford.
They are now in the process of screwing me on my trade, which we had verbally
agreed on a $ amount. They know I won't walk from this car ( R)
SO they have me. This is true, I sat down today to have a quick look at the future. I am in line to spend between 110,000 and 160,000 K on new Vehicles
in 2016. Hmmm loyalty is an amazing tool.

Edit, Last 8 years, now totals 21 vehicles. at this dealership.
is the 3500 they are going to try and screw me for worth it?

Repeat business, relationships etc. My brother just ordered a Platty from the dealership I'm buying my GT350 from. I'll be ordering a Raptor from them this summer. My daughters will be driving age in a few years and my wife's Exploder may be traded In for an aluminum Expedition.

You know who I won't be doing business with in the future? Damerow Ford. The sales mgr said he'd hook me up with a Shelby when I bought my wife's Explorer Sport last summer. I had tried calling and emailing him for a while. Never got a response from him. They're a $10K ADM dealer....

Thats what I don't get!!!! If I owned a dealership I'd do whatever it took to have a repeat customer especially on that spends as much as you do. It makes sense to give up that 3,500 and keep a repeat customer.

They may regret losing your business but as it relates to the deal over your R and trade-in they obviously just don't care. I'm not saying there isn't a case to be made for being nice and encouraging loyalty, but if they are looking at only numbers and not beyond that one deal...

I tried buying my GT350 from a dealership I've been loyal to as well, in fact my father worked there and they've sold us many cars at crazy deals. Even they tried to get me to pay a $35k markup. Dealerships are too stupid to be loyal forever and this new Shelby is bringing out their worst side.
