"Power off to save battery" message?

Anybody know what this means and why my car shows it when I get in to start it?

Mine will do the same.
I drive my car on the weekends so she doesn't get to charge the battery all that often.
I think with the high electrical loads the battery drains kind of fast when not being run that much.
Never had a problem with starting or battery being that drained.

Yeah... if you don't drive it daily or often then eventually after it sits for awhile it'll show this message. It'll pop up even if you don't start your car... i.e. after opening door and just sitting inside.

I leave my rarely driven cars on a battery tender. They work great and make them last longer. My Nissan still runs the orig factory battery 8 years later. My replace-it-every-year riding mower battery is on its 5th year and still cranking. Can't say enough good stuff about them. (No, I don't sell them) Just a tip.

what size of tender do you use?

I've had 2 batteries replaced already. There's a good change there's a bad cell on your battery. A normal car battery should be fine sitting for a week.

good idea, on both occasions the dealer tested my battery and it failed
