A message to Ford

Are they aloud to pull only a certain number?

I think there are politics involved. I'm sure the larger dealers are the top priority for the regional reps. I ordered mine from a small dealer in Iowa. It was an msrp deal, so I didn't mind the wait. Hope to have my car before Valentine's day.

What annoys me is the lack of understanding or the willingness to understand what's going on with the startup of production of a limited run of cars in a high-volume plant. Obviously, a large number of GT 350/Rs have been held - probably because they have a serious problem that makes the cars unsafe or not roadworthy. Several issues have been posted elsewhere. If parts need to be redesigned, manufactured and installed, the wait could be a long one - but Ford is not going to release any vehicles from any plant that have a significant issue. Can you imagine the liability issue that would create?

I'm sorry your car appears to be one of the problem ones, and I think Ford should be more communicative about what's going on, but the reality is that you don't own the car yet and Ford is not going to ship it until it's right. The company has not chosen you as its special victim. Believe me, after watching how this has all transpired, I hold my breath every day, hoping that QC doesn't find an issue with any more cars (including mine) - and I'm not going really believe that it's been built or shipped until I can plant my butt in the driver's seat at the dealer.

My car was built 10-20 and has been sitting for over 4 months.

That's only 4 weeks, which I assume is a typo. I've been waiting for almost 7 months, which annoys me - but after many years in and around the automotive industry, I think I understand what's probably going on.

You can not go to the dealer and just drive off with a shelby gt350. They have to be ordered. And guess what you do next. YOU WAIT AND WAIT AND WAIT!! unless you are in line to buy one you don't have room to voice your opinion.
